Chapter 67~Worthless

The house fell to ruins with Riley inside. Nat ran in as soon as the firefighters had got there and put the last flames out. Riley was found under a bunch of dust and wood. A sethro plastic thing was put round her to help her breathe. She began to breathe and Nat sighed. A few minutes later she woke up. She sat up and sighed. Nat smiled a bit at her and shook of the paramadecis. "Are you ok" she asked. Riley nodded. Nat gave her a unconvinced look "You should of been able to get out of there, and the fire shouldnt of affected you this much, is something wrong" she said. Riley sighed "Last night, I went to wakanda and I got my powers removed all of them, I'm normal now" she said. "What, did you think about telling any of us" Nat said. "I was going to in time" riley confessed.

Nat agreed that it was ok Riley had gotten rid of her powers but now she was making more of a fuss over Riley, every cut, scratch and bruise she had just got seemed life threatening now. Riley calmed Nat down and they agreed to go back to the tower, were Riley would tell everyone.

They got back, and everyone was in the room, loki sat on a chair by a counter. Tony was talking to Peter who must of gotten out of the hospital room on the sofa and Thor was staring at the corner of the room, probably still trying to find out what was different with Riley. She and Nat said down. "I have something to confess... " she began and all eyes turned to her. She gulped "Last night, I-I wasn't with Jessica, Cap gave me and offer, to go to wakanda were someone would be able to extract the peices of the infinity stones from inside me, taking away my powers, and I agreed, my powers are gone" she said.

The room could of exploded and no one would of even flinched. There was a stony silence. Then thor said "So your like, normal" he said. She nodded. Riley looked at loki, he had turned away. What if she was just a normal mortal he couldn't see her at the same level as him, he was a god. Tony made a weird cough then said "Well the one thing I dont understand is why you didn't tell us you wanted this, we aren't mad" he said. Riley sighed bowing her head "I-I thought you may not agree, because now I'm sort of worthless, I can't realy help the team, I only realy lived here before because my mum worked for shield and I could help, but now she's dead and I have no more powers, so now I can't help you guys, Im a waste of space " she said. "I thought You guys would agree saying that my powers helped more then I do" she said. It hit her.
