A soft, cool breeze pushed itself into the bedroom from the open window. It silently rustled the curtains and ruffled the hair of the sleeping children. The natural light of dawn poured in, casting low shadows around the room. Birds were beginning to sing as the crickets stopped chirping. Overall, it was the perfect morning. Well, if would be if (Y/N) wasn't here.

"(Y/N), get your hand out of my face." Rin gruffly mumbled out, still half asleep. The sleeping girl next to him had thrown her hand to the side, landing it in the middle of her brother's head. "Wake up!"

Rin grabbed his sister's hand and roughly put it at her side. "Jesus, how heavy of a sleeper are you?" He rhetorically questioned as he stared at (Y/N)'s unconscious form. Then, an idea came to mind. Just how much could he put her through before she woke up? "Hmm..."

Poking at her nose didn't wake her up. Shaking her didn't wake her up. Even tickling her wasn't enough to cause her to stir. Rin knew she wasn't dead. She was obviously still breathing. Why wouldn't she wake up then? Was she in a coma or something? No, no, of course not. She was just a deep sleeper. That just leaves one more thing to try.

Rin sat up and leaned over (Y/N). He stared at her for a moment, taking in each little detail of her features. The shallow rise and fall of her body as she took small breaths. The way her lips were slightly parted. Her hair sprawled out on the pillow. She just looked so relaxed. It almost convinced Rin not to disturb her sleep. Almost.

Taking both of his hands, he placed one over (Y/N)'s mouth and used the other to pinch her nose, effectively stopping her breathing. It only took a couple seconds before the young girl began to thrash around in a panic. She jolted up, hands flying to her face in an attempt to remove the things restricting her breaths. Rin quickly let go and stared, a completely neutral look on his face.

"What happened?" (Y/N) gasped for breaths and pushed her messy hair back out of her face.

"Hmm, I don't know," Rin turned away, refusing to look her in the eye. "Anyway, are you feeling better today? 'Cause I feel fine."

"Umm, yeah actually." The young girl cleared her throat. "I'm feeling a lot better." A few days had elapsed since the two had gotten sick. Since it was just a minor cold, the cough medicine was enough to push it out of their systems.

"Good." Rin moved to look at (Y/N) and smiled softly. The smile was almost creepy. But that was to be expected with Rin.

"Get out."

After a week of sharing the room together, Rin was ready to go back to being alone. Since she was no longer sick, (Y/N) was free to return to her room. It was hard living with the young girl. Yes, Rin found it nice to be the center of her attention for a while, but after a few days it got old. Especially with her complaints and neediness. (Y/N) felt similar. Rin had been moaning on and on about how bad he felt and how annoying (Y/N) was. It got irritating real fast.

(Y/N) was happy to return to her room. In fact, she couldn't wait to get back to her own bed. Without any protest, the girl made her way back to her room. Rin followed her with his eyes, watching her every move. After she had left, he turned on his side and hugged on to the pillow (Y/N) had previously been using. He breathed in a deep breath and exhaled slowly letting his eyes flutter shut. It wasn't long before he had fallen back asleep.
