Gandalf had arrived at Rivendell a few days after we got there. He had heard about what happened to us at Weathertop. I was losing sleep from how worried I was for Frodo, because he was still unconscious. I didn't know what to think."You're losing sleep, Daisy." Gandalf told me when I almost dozed off while we were eating. "I-I'm fine." I protested in between yawns. Before I could say anything else I fell off my chair and was asleep. I had to be carried back to my room.
After fifteen painful days, Frodo was finally recovered and awake! He walked out onto the balcony where we were waiting for him and everyone was in good spirits.
After he hugged the others, he saw me, held me in his arms, his bright blue eyes lit up, and he kissed me. Everything around us seemed to slow down in time as we kissed. I didn't pay attention to the cheering from Pippin, Merry, and Sam. We held each other close and gazed at each other lovingly. "I love you too, Daisy." he stroked my face, and I started blushing. "You heard me?" I was awestruck. "Every word." he replied. "Whoa..." I said breathlessly. "You were what helped me to keep holding on. I saw you in my dreams telling me to keep going," he kissed me sweetly. "I'm glad, because I don't know what life would be like without you." I touched his face. My hands weren't shaking this time, and the warm feeling I had in my heart felt familiar and exciting. All my life, I was nervous "I love you." we shared another kiss before Frodo saw his uncle Bilbo! Seeing his uncle for the first time in months made him happy, and that made me happy.
While Frodo was visiting with his uncle, I spent my time wandering the courtyard exploring. I heard elves singing beautifully, and the song made me feel at peace. I took in the beauty that surrounded Rivendell; I had only ever known the Shire and its scenery. Rivendell felt like a different world; the kingdom had an other worldly glow. Not many people my age got to experience things like this. "Enjoying the view?" Arwen had seen me exploring. She had just got done talking to Strider, from what I saw it looked like they were lovers. "Yes." I replied. "How is Frodo?" she asked curiously. "He's doing much better and he's out and about. Thank you for your help." I thanked the elven princess. "You're welcome, Daisy." she smiled kindly. "I can tell Strider means the world to you." I observed. Arwen chuckled, "Yes. We're very close." The elven princess had a lot of wisdom for her thousands of years.
A council was about to begin to decide what to do with the ring.
