I woke up on a bed in a recovery room with a bandage wrapped around my arm where Gollum had bitten me. My head ached and my entire body was sore, and then I realized I was in Rivendell. I sat up slowly and looked around. I wasn't dead, I was alive.

My thoughts instantly went to Frodo. Was he okay? Did he survive?

Arwen was sitting in an armchair reading a book, and she looked up when she saw that I was awake. "Thank goodness you're awake Daisy." "What happened?" I rubbed my head where it was hurting. "Gandalf the Grey's eagles saved you and Frodo from perishing in Mordor, you both fell unconscious and almost died." she examined the wounds on my head. "You're lucky to be alive." "Where's Frodo?" I asked. "He's in the other room, he should be waking up at any moment now." she answered. "I can take you to him, if you'd like." she added.  "Thank you, Arwen." she helped me out of the bed and walked with me to the recovery room next to mine. He was still unconscious, a bandage was wrapped around his hand where Gollum had bitten off his finger. "He's healing rather well," Arwen observed. I nodded, "How long were we out?" "Ten days." she replied. "Like I said, you're both lucky to be alive." "Thank you, for being so kind and helpful." I expressed my gratitude. "You're welcome, my dear friend." she said with a smile.

Frodo finally woke up, and looked around. "Daisy?" "Hey Frodo." I smiled in relief.  "Are we still alive?" he asked making sure what he was seeing was real. "Yes, we're still alive." I chuckled. He turned to Arwen, "Thank you, for helping us." "You're welcome Frodo. Thank you for your heroic actions." she smiled proudly.

After Arwen had left to go tell the others we were awake, Frodo and I were left alone. I reached for his hand and he held mine. "Can I tell you something?" he asked. "Of course." I smiled. "Thank you for keeping your promise by staying with me, I don't think I would have made it through alone. I'm forever grateful to you." Frodo said with love. "I was glad to do it, and thank you for keeping your promise." I touched his face tenderly. "You took me on the most exciting adventure in the history of Middle Earth." we both shared a kiss that we both had been longing for since we had survived Mordor.

The Fellowship was reunited, and peace was restored to Middle Earth.
