I warmed myself in front of the fireplace and proceeded to get myself ready for the birthday party. I went back to my house to do so, and I also had to help my sisters get ready. I styled my hair in a curly updo to look elegant. In addition, I also changed in to a pink dress with a white corset. "Did you fall in the river again?" Mother asked while she was getting ready for the party. "Yes." I replied embarrassed. "You best watch where you're running." she chuckled and patted my head. "Were you with the Baggins boy?" she asked with a knowing smile. I grinned, "Yes." this time the answer wasn't with embarrassment. Mother knew how close Frodo and I were, and she supported our friendship, and she also knew of my feelings for him. "You seem so happy when you are with him." Mother observed. "I love spending time with him, Mother." I said. "Well, then the party for Bilbo will be quite magical." she chuckled. "Mother! Let's go to the party!" my youngest sister Mollie jumped up and down excitedly like a jackrabbit. "Alright, alright." "It's nice to see the family so excited." Father said happily. We walked to the clearing where the party was happening. There was dancing, singing, fireworks, magic, and lots of delicious food! Frodo and Sam were looking on at the dancing, and Sam was looking nervously at Rosie Cotton. She was a girl he fancied and he was always nervous whenever he tried to talk to her. Frodo got a mischievous smile on his face and pushed Sam into the crowd and Rosie happily took his hands and they began to dance. I chuckled at the sight of my friend dancing.

I ran up to Frodo and yelled "Surprise!" he jumped startled and he hugged me. "You're quite the trickster." "Thanks, I've been practicing." I made a show of flouncing my hair. That made him laugh, and then he offered his hand. "Shall we dance?" "We shall!" I exclaimed and took his hand. We joined the circle of couples dancing and we were laughing and singing. The happiness was radiating from the crowd and I was especially happy because Frodo asked me to dance with him. The youngest hobbits were enchanted by the butterfly fireworks that were flying in the air.

Suddenly fireworks began to go off and we all ran in the direction of them to watch. Gandalf always gave the best firework shows. They were so enchanting!

A dragon firework began shooting towards the sky and over the lake, and suddenly it came flying towards us! My sisters were running away frightened and I ran off to protect them. The dragon suddenly disappeared. Our fears were ceased when we realized that it was Pippin and Merry managed to set it off. I had never seen Gandalf look so mad in my life, but in all honesty it was funny!

All the happiness changed when Bilbo gave a rather alarming speech and disappeared!
