Before we knew it, Frodo and I were halfway to Mount Doom. We were tired, hungry, and in need of water. Our feet felt like they were about to fall off. Suddenly, Frodo had the look of hypnosis again.
He was being tempted by the ring again. "Don't give in." I warned Frodo. He nodded weakly and we kept climbing up the mountain. The air was hot and the smell of the fire was making me cough. I desperately needed water. I couldn't breathe.
"The ring is mine." Frodo said ominously. He was put the ring on his finger.

When we reached the top of the mountain, Gollum came scampering up behind us and attacked Frodo! "Give us the precious!" he shrieked. My nightmare was about to come true. I drew my sword and pointed it at the creature. "Hey! Get away from him or I'll throw you in the lava." I felt an intense hatred for Gollum because he wanted to hurt Frodo. He just cackled madly and bit off Frodo's ring finger!

Frodo screamed in pain and that's what made me snap. I slashed the creature with my sword, but he was too fast. He had bitten my arm! Nine teeth marks were embedded in my skin and already starting to bleed. I screamed in pain!
Gollum smiled wickedly at us and showed us what he had taken; the ring.

Gollum had gotten the ring, just like he wanted. He danced around like a mad man cackling "My precious! The precious is ours!"
"SHUT UP!!" I screamed at Gollum.
I had about more than I could take from this little beast, Frodo got up and pushed him off the cliff and he happily fell into the lava with the ring. The One Ring had finally been destroyed, Middle Earth was safe at last.  "It is done." Frodo said. He collapsed to the ground barely being able to breathe. "Frodo, stay with me." I begged. "I don't want to lose you." the last of my strength had gone away and I fell to the ground.

The exhaustion overcame us and we couldn't get up. I weakly crawled over to Frodo, and we just held each other. "Are you alright, Daisy?" he touched my face. "Yes," I nodded. "Are you?" "Yes," we held each other as if for the last time. "I love you." I said with tears in my eyes. "I love you too, forever." Frodo kissed my forehead and then on the lips. We cried in each other's arms, and then everything went black.

Frodo and I both fell unconscious from being exhausted on the rocky cliff, but we still held onto each other. We accepted our fate that we could die here, but we didn't know that Gandalf sent his eagles to save us, and we were flown back to Rivendell. The whole ordeal felt like a dream, a terrifying dream.

Sam POV

We got to Rivendell by the time the eagles brought Frodo and Daisy. They were unconscious and they were covered in soot and cuts. I saw that Frodo was missing a finger and and Daisy had a massive bite mark on her arm. "Frodo! Daisy!" I ran towards them to check if they were okay. They both were breathing slow and shallowed breaths. "Are they going to die?" Pippin asked fearfully. "I don't know." Gandalf said hanging his head. "They could have a lasting impact from Mordor. Few have survived." We watched our friends get carried away to be healed, they looked as if they were inches away from death. Daisy hung limp in Legolas's arms and Frodo looked as if he was already dead while he was being carried by Aragorn.
I began to cry, "Poor Mr. Frodo and Miss Daisy." "They'll be alright Sam." Gandalf patted my shoulder. "I hope so."  I cried.
