Get ready to cry cause I did.
Akaashi yawned quietly, pulling on his t-shirt and tucking it into his shorts. He heard the locker next to him close and looked up. Bokuto walked off, walking into the bathroom section of the locker rooms.
He stared. That was strange. It had kept happening over the past few weeks and was becoming odd.
Bokuto would change shirts and then go to the bathroom to change out his pants.
Why not change like everyone else did?
Why not stay and carry a conversation with Akaashi like he had the previous school year?
Akaashi went to the bathroom entrance and waited for Bokuto to come out of his stall. When the older male did he went closer, concerned. "Are you alright Bokuto-san?"
Bokuto looked up. "Yeah!"
"I see you put your kneepads on again. Aren't they a little tight going up that high?"
"Eh. Kinda. But it's okay. Look!" Bokuto squatted quickly. "They flex!"
Akaashi nodded. "Okay just checking that you're okay."
Bokuto tossed his rolled up clothes towards his bag and hurried out of the locker room to start getting everything out.
Akaashi went over to Bokuto's bag and sat down, picking up his clothes. He folded them all neatly and opened Bokuto's bag to put them in there where they were supposed to go. A piece of paper fell out.
He paused. Akaashi's eyes scanned the room quickly. No one was looking at him. He put the clothes in place and went into a bathroom stall. He opened the paper and immediately wanted to flush it.
"It's not muscle, it's fat. Cover it up pig. No one wants to see that. It's gross. Boys don't have thighs that big. That's the food going there too. It always does. Fatass. Cover yourself up."
Akaashi furrowed his brows. This wasn't even Bokuto's handwriting. This was messier than his.
Well Bokuto seemed like a messy person but his handwriting was very neat and careful. He always made sure of that. No matter what. Who the hell had written him such a rude note?
****
Akaashi opened his locker, waiting for Bokuto to come up beside him for his normal morning greeting.
Instead a girl went up to the locker close to him. She slipped a piece of paper in a slot and hurried away.
Akaashi changed his shoes quickly and closed his locker before turning the dial on Bokuto's locker a few times and opening it. He took the note before closing Bokuto's locker and reading the note.
It was similar to the one he'd found the previous week in Bokuto's gym bag.
He tore it up quickly and put the remains in his pocket.
Bokuto walked up and ruffled Akaashi's hair. "Good morning Kashi!"
"Good morning Bokuto-san."
"You look sleep deprived. You good?"
"Perfectly fine actually." Akaashi watched Bokuto carefully open his locker and then almost relax.
He reached into his locker and changed out his shoes, grabbing two textbooks as well. "You excited for practice today?"
"I suppose I am. Do you need any new sets?"
"Nope. You set perfectly!" Bokuto smiled at him. "Plus today I feel really nice and like you'll do good."
