"Tadashi! I got her to go to sleep!" Tsukishima called out. When he got no response he walked into the office that his fiance tended to stay in. "Tadashi. It's almost midnight. Come on."
"I'm almost done. You can go on to bed." He mumbled.
Tsukishima walked to the desk to see hundreds of lines of code on the screen. He frowned. "Tadashi."
"Mm?"
"How long have you been working on this?"
"Uh. What time is it?"
"Eleven forty five."
"Mm... Well… fifteen minutes I guess." He yawned and reached for a can on his desk. "Don't worry about it."
"Tadashi. I said time for bed." Tsukishima got the can from him and put it on top of a bookshelf. "Come on."
"Wait I'm not done-"
"Bed time." Tsukishima took the Bluetooth chip out of Yamaguchi's computer and put it next to the tea on the book shelf. "I washed the comforters today so they smell like lavender."
"Eh…"
Tsukishima lifted him out of the chair. "You need to brush your teeth."
Yamaguchi flailed for a moment, whining and wanting to go and continue working.
"Tadashi Yamaguchi shut your mouth right now."
"Tadashi Tsukishima you meanie!" Yamaguchi kicked. "Kei! Lemme down!"
"Hush you'll wake Mistuki." Tsukishima set him down and closed the bathroom door. "When I come back you better have brushed your teeth."
"You're just saying that cause my tea tastes weird when you kiss me."
"Well duh. Brush your teeth." Tsukishima went back into their room and put a few more pillows on the side of the bed Yamaguchi slept on. He grabbed a soft blanket and put it over the ones Yamaguchi's back would go against.
The bathroom door opened but Yamaguchi hadn't come into the room. Tsukishima checked his office.
"Tadashi."
Yamaguchi shushed Tsukishima and tried to reach the Bluetooth chip.
Tsukishima walked into the room and gently wrapped his arms around his waist.
"Ah wait I can't reach it-"
"Tadashi." Tsukishima whispered.
Yamaguchi huffed. He looked up. "What?"
Tsukishima turned his head and held Yamaguchi's cheek. He smiled, silent.
"Oh you look sleepy…"
"A little bit. But you've got to get to bed for me to sleep."
"I can't tell if that's manipulation or if it's cause you love me." Yamaguchi giggled quietly. "Aw Kei do you love me~"
Tsukishima kissed his forehead. He slipped out of Yamaguchi's grip and took his hand in his own. He led him to their room and grabbed a pair of pajama pants. He gave them to Yamaguchi before getting into bed. "Join me when you finish up."
Yamaguchi stared. He looked at the pants before his lip started quivering. The whole time he changed into pajamas and shut off his computer, he was so close to tears.
Tsukishima heard the light flick off and then the bed sink down next to him.
"K-Kei…"
"Lay down." Tsukishima mumbled. He patted his chest. "Come here."
Yamaguchi held him, shaking.
"Take deep breaths, okay?"
"I'm sorry."
"I know."
"I'm tired…"
"I know."
"You're not mad at me?"
"No."
Yamaguchi started crying. He held on tighter. "I love you, I love you, I love you."
"I love you too." He eased Yamaguchi's leg up and turned into his body, hugging him against the bed. "Time to go to sleep, okay?"
"Mkay…"
"Thank you." Tsukishima kissed the side of his head. "Mm."
Yamaguchi wrapped around him. "Night night Kei."
Tsukishima laid there and waited until he felt Yamaguchi fall asleep. He smiled and propped himself back up. He kissed Yamaguchi's forehead. "You really need to take of yourself…"
Yamaguchi shifted under him, yawning.
"Caffeinated tea is bad for you." Tsukishima mumbled. He put his head back down and relaxed. He rubbed Yamaguchi's arm slowly, drifting off.
Soon loud crying from down the hall sounded and he eased up. He walked down the hall and picked the little girl up.
"Hey there little star…" He sat on the rocking chair and rocked back and forth. "What's wrong? Hm?"
The little girl kicked and then huffed at him. "Ba! Ba! Ba!"
"Hush, hush you'll wake Nini up. Let's not wake him up, okay? He's sleepy."
Mitsuki whined softly. She looked around before reaching for Tsukishima. Tsukishima lifted her up and kissed her forehead. "Nini and Daddy love you."
"Ni be da!"
Tsukishima smiled. He leaned back and made a soft kissy noise at her.
"Ah!"
Tsukishima got up and brought her into his room. Yamaguchi was sprawled out over the bed, snoring. He sat down and held the little girl, his other hand in his fiance's hair. As soon as Yamaguchi shifted Mitsuki screamed and he startled awake.
"Whew…" Yamaguchi sat up. He plopped back down. "She good?"
"She's okay." Tsukishima whispered. "Go back to sleep."
"Mm… mkay." Snoring sounded a few moments later and Tsukishima put Mitsuki back in her crib.
When he came back to lay down apparently Yamaguchi had woken up again. His pants had been thrown across the room next to the TV and he was turned over, fast asleep.
Tsukishima curled up behind him, pulling him close by his waist. He kissed behind his ear and the side of his head before dozing off. The fan was on and they were comfortable curled up without blankets on. It felt nice. They could have some rest for once.
