"Your majesty!"

"Prince!"

Akaashi opened his eyes, taking a deep breath. "Hm?"

"You'll be able to go into public today."

Akaashi nodded. He yawned and sat up, brushing everyone away. He got himself into a bath that one of his maids had gotten ready. He soaked in the warm water, comfortable and content.

Akaashi cleaned himself off and dressed, getting a bit of help with buttons and strings. His mother tossed his wet hair and he received soft kisses on his cheeks.

Akaashi ate breakfast with her, admiring her black and gold dress. The women in his family wore black and gold. The males wore dark blue and silver.

That was just normal wear but any other time they all wore white and gold.

The knights wore all three colors.

There were two in the room at the moment, one of which Akaashi invited to the table. He sat there and was silent until Akaashi talked directly to him.

"Would you like something to eat?"

"No sir, I will eat after you."

Akaashi and his mother shared a glance. Akaashi gestured to a maid. "Would you mind getting me another plate darling? It would be appreciated greatly."

The maid got more to eat.

Akaashi got him to eat, staring at him attentively. "Your uniform compliments your eyes."

"Thank you."

Akaashi smiled. "Relax."

"What do you mean?"

"You're tense because I'm royalty… You don't need to worry."

Akaashi's mother stood. She fixed her gown. "Keiji, I'll be in my study."

"Alright." Akaashi smiled. "Would you like help when I'm finished here?"

"I'll be alright."

Akaashi sat with the guard, admiring him. He'd talked with him before multiple times and loved being around him despite himself being quiet and the other being rather like the sun.

Akaashi was able to go on and take him to his study. As they walked Akaashi was stopped and given praise and gentle hugs and back pats. Everyone praised him and was caring.

His guard on the other hand was given looks of disapproval, which was upsetting to him. He'd trained for specifically being with Akaashi. He was the oldest of four siblings and the thinnest and daintiest of them all so Bokuto could use his strength accordingly.

He pulled out Akaashi's chair for him at the study and stood by his desk.

Akaashi hadn't started with his work before noticing this and becoming upset. "Please sit down, you're making me nervous Bokuto-san."

"I apologize." Bokuto sat down and smiled. "You look very beautiful today my prince."

Akaashi gulped before laughing softly. "Thank you. That's very charming…"

Bokuto smiled, quiet. He watched as Akaashi filled out papers and read, assisting him in getting the wax seals he needed to be made for letters. The morning was spent with paperwork and cups of peppermint tea.
