It was a perfect plan really.

Make him depend on Dream.

Tommy was the only one who ever went against what Dream said. He couldn't have that.
He needed to make Tommy reliant upon him.
To need him.
Then when he controlled Tommy, he would control Tubbo and Philza, Phil would never want another son hurt after all.
And if he controlled Philza.
Then he controlled Technoblade.
Tommy was the glue that held them all together.
And Dream had Tommy wrapped around his little finger.
It was morning now. He decided to go back, he couldn't leave Tommy alone for too long now could he?
He didn't expect this.
As Dream stepped through the portal he was met with a confusing sight.
In front of him stood a tall pillar of wood, mud and stone.
All stuff Tommy still had on him when he left.
'No. No he wouldn't.
He needed me.
He wouldn't do that.'
Dream walked up to the pillar even though his mind told him to run.
Below the pillar laid unplaced blocks.
And shards of broken, blood stained glass.
'He didn't.
He wouldn't.'
Dream couldn't believe it.
Tommy had jumped.
He jumped.
'Don't tell me you started to care for the boy?'
Memories flashed through Dreams mind.
"Come on Dream! Catch me!"
"Wait Tommy no!"
"Haha! I've got you now green man!"
"Not yet!"
"Hey Dream?"
"Yeah?"
"We're friends right?"
"Of course we are."
"I'm glad your my friend Dream."
'No. Please no. I didn't want this.
Please no.'
Dream's legs finally gave out.
He ripped the mask from his face and threw it across the floor.
Blood from scars that never healed mixed with tears as they ran down his cheeks.
This isn't what he wanted.
Why did he care so much.
Tommy was a puppet. A toy.
He wasn't meant to care.
So why?
Why did it HURT so much?
Why?
Why did he do it?
'Please no.
Tommy...'
"Please come back Tommy."
'I guess I really did care for the boy...'
