You both ended up falling asleep in the middle of the beach as you watched the sunset. Your head was rested on his chest and Mingyu's strong arms wrapped around you, keeping you warm.
The sudden feeling of rain hitting your faces, caused you to wake up. Once you opened your eyes, you realised that it was almost pitch black outside and the sand was becoming wet due to the showers. You looked down at Mingyu as you sat up, trying to shake him awake.
He sat up while rubbing his eyes. "W-what's wrong?"
"We need to go home. It's late and raining." You replied, starting to pack up the food tubs and blankets.
Despite not being fully awake, Mingyu managed to help you put all the stuff back in the boot. By the time you had gotten back in the car, both of you were drenched. The leather seats squished as you moved about. You had a blanket draped over your shoulders to keep you warm, but it couldn't stop the shivering. You were guaranteeing that you will wake up with a cold the next morning.
"I didn't expect us to fall asleep." Mingyu said as he started driving.
"Me neither. But I had fun."
"Will I be getting a second date?" His eyes never left the road but that didn't stop a smirk from ghosting his lips.
You looked at him, not knowing how to feel. You were sorry. "Maybe." You uttered, forcing a thin-lipped smile.
"I'm not taking-oh shit!" Mingyu groaned.
"That's not very idol-like language." You copied the words he once spoke to you.
Once you noticed the worry on his face, you knew something was seriously wrong. "What's happened?"
He slammed his hands on the steering wheel, "oh no. Please, not now. No no no no."
"What the hell is going o-" your question was answered the moment the truck stopped, despite Mingyu still pressing his foot on the pedal multiple times, trying to get the vehicle to move.
"You've got to be kidding me.""We're out of gas." He told before hitting his head on the wheel.
"You didn't think coming out with a full tank would be crucial?" You asked sarcastically. You couldn't believe this was happening.
You pulled out your phone to call a towing company. "Great. Just great." You shoved your phone back into your jean pocket. "My phone's dead." That's what you get for using your battery for playing games.
"I'll use mine." Luckily, his was on 20%. He found the nearest company online and dialled the number. He waiting for at least a minute before the call got cut off. No one was answering. He did this with three other companies and still received no response. "I don't think any are open."
"Aren't they supposed to be 24hr?"
"Apparently not. And it is 3:21am"
"What are we gonna do now?" You watched as he scrolled on his phone.
