The next day...

You couldn't help but be slightly distracted as you were about to see your parents soon, but it didn't stop you from working.

You were in a studio alone while working on a song. With all the major events that have happened in your life recently, you managed to get some inspiration. Although this time you knew your limits, and knew when to take breaks.

Since the music was so loud in your headphones, you didn't notice anyone coming in until you felt a tap on your shoulder. You paused the music and turned around to match a face with the action. You cocked your head to the side, "Mingyu, what are you doing here?"

He lifted up a white plastic with a wide smile on his face. "I brought you some lunch." He pulled out a spare chair and sat beside you before setting up the meals he brought.

You took the headphones off and set them aside, along with your laptop and notebook. "You didn't have to."

He handed you a set of chopsticks. "I know, but I assumed that you would be too busy to remember to eat." He placed a takeaway pot in front of you and opened the lid. Your eyes lit up at the food inside. Mingyu chuckled at your reaction. "BBQ chicken. Your favourite."

You gave him a shy smile and a small nudge. "Thank you."

You took your first bite and immediately your whole body eased while releasing a satisfied moan.

Both of you ate in silence, just enjoying the small break from reality.

"What was you working on?" Mingyu asked, wiping his mouth.

"Just a draft, nothing important." You leaned your chin on the heel of your palm. "What about you? How's practice going?"

"Stressful as ever. There is never a dull moment with them boys." He sarcastically shook his head a took a deep breath. "They're going to be the death of me."

You gifted him a fake sympathetic pout, "poor you. Anyone would think you're the most sensible."

"I am." He crossed his arms.

You snickered quietly, but loud enough for him to catch on. "Definitely not. Personally I think Hoshi is, or maybe Dino. Nope, definitely Dokyeom."

He just looked at you dumbfounded. "You're kidding right?"

"Of course I'm kidding. I wouldn't trust them to survive alone."

He rested a hand on his chest. "Thank god."

"Am I gonna get a sneak peak of your performance." You pulled your best shot at being cute. But you only got a disgusted face in return.
