The next morning you were woken by your manager who told you to get ready for work. Now all the racket starts and your free time will be stripped away.
You climbed out of bed and went into the packed bathroom so you could brush your teeth and wash your face. Then you put your practice clothes on, which was just simple black joggers, a pair of high tops and a baggy graphic tee. You swung your bag over your back and gathered all your members into the car.
The first few hours consisted of meetings with the styling teams and choreographers. Then your day was taken up in the practice rooms. The mirrors were fogging up and your breaths were taken, yet you refused to stop. You decided that you should all learn the extra choreography today so the next sessions will be mostly about revising and perfecting.
Towards the end of the day, you were busy recording for the new album. You allowed the girls to go first so they can go home early, and mostly because you take the longest in the booth. You were a perfectionist. Your throat was starting to hurt slightly but you shook it off and continued to record until your phone started to ring.
Seong-sung held up your buzzing phone so you could see through the window. You put down the headphones and walked out the booth and answered the call. "Hello?" Your voice had become hoarse.
"Hey, I'm guessing you've heard the news about the performance." Mingyu said.
You lounged on the small couch and sighed. "Yep. We are going to be exhausted."
"It also means we won't be able to go on that date."
"I'm sorry." You had no idea why you were apologizing, you just felt the need to. You felt bad. Maybe because you completely forgot about the date.
His sweet chuckle was heard, "You don't need to say sorry, it's not your fault."
"I know. It's just that this isn't going to be easy. We'll only be able to see each other during practice."
"We can still make the most of it."
"What about that question you wanted to ask me?"
"I'll wait for the right time. Right now we should focus on work."
"You're right." You sighed.
"By the way, did you speak to them?"
You knew straight away who he meant. A small smile ghosted your lips. "I did. I managed to convince them to come to Seoul for the award show."
On the other end, Mingyu's cheeks were burning crimson. He has to meet your parents and their first impression of him will be his stage persona. He wasn't quite sure the type of impression that would leave. "I'm happy for you."
"I'll see you tomorrow?"
"Make sure you stay safe and take care of yourself, I can hear how sore your throat is."
"You too."
You ended the call and put your phone in your bag. Seong-sung was busy working, not eavesdropping on your conversation. "I should get going." You said as you swung your bag on your back. "Do you think what I recorded is okay?"
"Y/n it's perfect. You were the one who insisted on re-recording."
"I was just doing my best." You smirked and waved him goodbye.
You asked your manager to make a stop at a Chinese restaurant and you brought the girls some dinner before you went back to your dorm. "Dinner!" You called as you walked through the door.
