//can't believe we got another album before this update

It took another full day for Taylor to gain the courage to take out the small secret hiding under the bed. The idea of playing had been dancing in her head ominously, as well as did the need of writing. This hadn't happened in the last years, but Taylor was more than used to its familiar pull, the way that words would come up in her mind without warning.

And so she took her guitar out, much to Karlie's surprise, who looked at her over an open book with a raised eyebrow and a quizzical stare.

"How did that get there?"

"Lily" Taylor simply explained, opening the case and getting out the instrument, which looked as it always did. With a sigh, she came back to bed, sitting with the guitar in her lap, ignoring Karlie's inquisitive stare.

"Oh thanks, that explains a lot"

Taylor rolled her eyes at the dry tone, sending a glare at her girlfriend, who stared back, seated cross legged at the head of the bed "Lily brought it with the supplies, someone gave her my guitar, and she preferred to bring it rather than bringing some other food apart of canned soup"

The brunette processed the information in silence with a blank stare, closing the book "And why am I finding out now?"

"Because you stink"

"Hey!" Karlie kicked her on the side with one of her stupid long legs, making Taylor laugh loudly, pulling away, trying to dodge her attacks "You little asshole"

"Shut up" Taylor pushed away one of Karlie's legs, sitting back in her place, starting to strum and tune accordingly the guitar "Is just been a long time since I last played"

Karlie hummed, resting her chin in her hand, looking at Taylor with warm eyes that disarmed her right there "I didn't even know you played"

"It's complicated" Taylor looked down at the instrument, fixing the really out of key guitar.

"Care to explain?" Karlie came closer, placing a soothing hand on her thigh. The blonde looked at her, pursing her lips "If you want"

"It's just- I liked to write songs, played the guitar mostly for that, but one day I stopped" Taylor chuckled under her breath "It's really stupid, but words stoped coming at me and the inspiration just went away, and I've been scared since then that it had disappeared forever, so I just avoided it"

Karlie listened with a light frown "I don't think you can just lose your inspiration, Tay"

The blonde took a deep breath, closing her eyes "Don't know if you noticed, but I don't have the healthiest life back home, so when I started going out, and partying, and taking, well, stuff, I put aside a lot of activities I used to enjoy, and when I tried to get back to them, it was just like I had lost the capacity to do them, so I got scared" Taylor looked back at worried green orbs "And so, I've been avoiding them since, because I don't want to confront what once made me happy but I wasted"

The words fell with a gravity Taylor wasn't expecting, summoning the cabin in a dense silence for some too long seconds for her liking.

"Oh"

"Yeah"

"What kind of stuff?" Taylor tilted her head in question, waiting for Karlie to elaborate "I mean, what kind of stuff did you take?"
