Taylor looked around, there was a creek crossing the clear in the woods, and the grass populated the ground, making it fluffy, and probably full of insects too, but that was another topic. It was a nice place to spend the night, they could actually see the sky and not a leaf vault, and she guessed the sight of stars will be worth it.
"Okay, we are going to set the tents, I want three of you to go and search branches and leaf litter to make a bonfire, the rest come with me" Lily said, taking control again "Don't separate from the clear, don't lose the sight of the totem, if you do, come back immediately, we don't have a lot of time before the sun settles and I don't want anyone lost out there" With that, the group separated.
Kanye, Ed and Blake decide to go search, while the rest stayed with Lily. The monitor did a quickly tutorial, setting up her tent in a record time. When she asked if it was clear the group nodded dumbfounded, not having any idea of how to settle anything at all. There were a tent for two people, which meant that they had to share them, Taylor looked around, trying to guess who would be her partner.
"Hey" Christoffer was near her, and Taylor turned around, supposing he was talking to her. She was wrong. The boy was smiling sheepishly at Karlie, fidgeting with his fingers.
"Yey" Karlie said with a smile, unacquainted to her stare on them. After spending so many hours with the boy, they had actually bonded. Taylor had to listen to all their stupid conversations while she followed them through the woods, and an unsettling feeling rested in her stomach since the first laugh caused by the boy escaped Karlie's mouth.
"Uhm, do you have a partner to share the tent? I mean, if you have that's cool, but if you don't have one we could share, if you want?" The boy rambled unsure, hiding his hands in his pockets to stop the nervous movements. Taylor clenched her jaw, her hands became fits, anger was paralyzing her, she couldn't turn her gaze away from them. Karlie had a surprised face, mouth slightly open with no sound escaping from it.
"Ehh, sure?" Karlie finally said, doubt present in her voice. Oh my God, is this girl dumb? I think she is. Is she doing this to be nice with him? Please don't be this stupid. What right does he have? What a creep. Taylor's nails were digging in the skin of her hand, she was shaking lightly, glued to the ground. She couldn't just go and tell Karlie she couldn't do that, what right did she have? All Karlie knew was that she hated her for no reason, that she was nice to everyone but her. She had no right at all. But-
"I mean, wait, don't think bad" The boy said, taking his hands out of his pockets and shaking them in the air with an awkward chuckle, hearing the doubt in the girl's words. Taylor couldn't take it anymore, the simple thought of them together was driving her crazy. The thought of his hands anywhere near Karlie was just not it. The simple fact that any thought of a non-puritan nature had crossed the boy's mind made her blood boil like she never imagined it would. Taylor didn't care what right did she had over Karlie anymore, that was not going to happen in front of her. Nope. "I just-"
"She's with me" Taylor's strong voice startled even herself, but she was too angry to care about it. With two long strides, she was standing next to Karlie, slipping a hand around her waist and sending a cold glare to the blonde boy. Her side was completely against Karlie, making goosebumps erupt everywhere, and Taylor swallowed a curse, aware of the effect Karlie had over her. The boy stepped back frightened, confusion dancing in his brown eyes.
"Uh-" Christoffer tried to say something, but Taylor spoke first. She was holding with force the girl next to her by her waist, like Karlie was going to escape in any given minute. She didn't.
