//Whoops, next one will be up faster I promise.
As promised, the bag contained provisions for the next three days. Canned food, mostly. Taylor made sure to ration all of it. So, while Karlie took a shower, she entertained herself unpacking the two bags their monitor had brought.
Taylor had insisted Karlie to take a shower. She wanted to be alone, because as much as she tried to mask her astonishment earlier seeing the second bag Lily had thrown at the floor, she needed to check if her suspicions were true. Because she could recognize that bag. It had been sitting uselessly next to her bed in her old cabin, half hidden in the corner of the room, alluding curious glances.
Her mother shouldn't have insisted for her to take it. She wasn't going to use it. She had no intentions to use it.
So, why was her guitar in the middle of the floor all of a sudden?
Taylor unwrapped the plastic bag around it, glad that Lily at least had the decency to cover it from the rain. As she expected, underneath was the familiar guitar case her father gave her some birthdays ago. A few too many.
Unleashing the case, she found her precious instrument. One that she hadn't touched in a long time. The wood gleamed under the cold light that trespassed the window. The little star-shaped sticker next to the bridge was still there, staring back at Taylor, reminiscing about past memories filled with innocence and naivety.
Taylor sighed deeply. She wanted an explanation, but Lily was gone, and she was locked there, with nothing more than questions and annoyance. Oh, and Karlie. Gods. She wasn't going to shut up until she played. She was as sure of it as she was sure that the sky was blue. Well- not today, today was definitely not blue. Taylor grunted at her own incompetents thoughts. Her best option was to hide the case, but where? They didn't have that much space, much less somewhere Karlie could not see. It was just a damn little room.
Taylor shook her head, deciding that under the bed would do for now, whatever time she could hide it, the better. Just as she was going to close the cover, a piece of paper hidden in the side of the guitar caught her attention. She didn't remember putting that small paper there, ever. She picked it up automatically, frowning at the hand written letters that were obviously not hers.
'Serenade her
;) ~Chris'
Taylor blinked a few times at the simple words written, then a low menacing grunt made its way through her throat. Of fucking course. Taylor didn't know what she hated the most, the stupid phrase and its implications or the stupid winking face. What was that supposed to mean? Well, of course she knew what it meant.
She was going to choke that boy to his death. With no regrets.
How or why did he know she had her guitar hidden in her old cabin escaped her knowledge. That bastard surely had sidekicks now, surely Selena. Or Gigi. Hell, maybe even Martha. What did he tell them? With a whine Taylor dropped her head in her hands, rubbing her temple at the vast amount of possibilities that crossed her mind. However, the sound of the running water shutting off in the bathroom woke her up from her daze, making her curse under her breath and finally close the cover, hiding the case under the bed. Taylor crumpled up the paper that was still in her hand, placing it in her pocket.
The thing about showering with cold water is that people usually don't want to linger under the stream, and Karlie was no exception. Much less on a cold day.
