They agreed in going back to their group of friends, even if they were tired to the point of exhaustion, decided to at least say goodnight to the circle of persons they had spent the night with, just to let them know they weren't dead.

"No"

"But why not Karlie!?"

"I've already told you is not the moment"

Taylor grunted for the thousand time that night. Their way back to the bonfire was plagued by her vengeful plan proposals, only to be dismissed without a beat by Karlie. Why, out of all times, did she have to be a nice person just now? Well, she has been always a nice person after all. It was too much to ask for someone as pure as Karlie? Hell with that, Karlie is not that pure.

"Don't you have pride? We are in our right to proclaim revenge"

"Stop talking like a fallen king" Karlie sighed, rolling her eyes. They were walking through the grass, only the illumination of the moon as a guide. Not seeing what she was stepping into made her kinda nervous, but she omitted the thought keeping her attention in Karlie.

"But I am a fallen king" Taylor retorted with an indignant tone.

"Then you are a king with a poor brain"

"What-?"

"We are not going to do anything, at least tonight" Karlie stopped walking, her eyes shone serious in the whitish light. She crossed her arms above her chest and her voice had a sense of finality in it, she was clearly done with the topic, and Taylor knew nothing she could say would change her mind.

"So, you are willing to proclaim revenge any other time?" Taylor didn't stop her slow march, ignoring the fact that Karlie wasn't following.

"Stop saying it like that, we're not in game of thrones"

"Right" Taylor stopped walking, turning around and mimicking the posture Karlie was holding by crossing her arms as well, clearly mocking her serious semblance "Tomorrow?"

"We'll see"

"That means no, Karlie, I know because that's what my mother said when she didn't want to say no directly, you are not going to distract me with that, you can't stop me from-"

"God, you must be really annoying as a kid" Karlie shook her head, a teasing smile curling her lips upwards "I pity your parents"

"Hey! It's their fault I've ended up like this" Taylor pointed dramatically to herself and turned around, starting her walk again "All my childhood they were all 'we'll see'" She dropped her voice, in a poor attempt to mimic their voices "I want a pony, 'we'll see', I want to go to disneyland 'we'll see', I want-"

"How did you hope they got you a pony, Taylor? I think is heroic they didn't threw you out of the window from the start"

Taylor ignored the voice behind her, fasting her pace as anger boiled in her veins "I want you to spend more time with me and less traveling 'we'll see', I want you both to stay for my birthday 'we'll see'" The anger dissipated sooner than she expected in bitterness and sour. She didn't realize she had stopped walking until she felt a comforting hand in her shoulder. The lack of attention from her parents wasn't nothing new, not at all, so why was she feeling like shit saying it out loud? It wasn't even close to the hardships other people had to face, it was selfish from her part to complain, but it was something that pained her nevertheless. It was her life after all, and she couldn't block her feelings, as much as she would like that.
