//Short epilogue my ass, don't ever trust me again

The air was salty and crisp. Karlie pulled the jacket closer to her body to block the blast of air as she crossed the street, almost running and barely avoiding a car that was passing by, raising her hand as an apology when a grumpy looking guy behind its steering wheel honked at her.

It was strange. Everything about here was strange. It was always noisy, always smelled at something, there were always cars, and people, and the stars disappeared at night, swallowed by the continuous light of the big urbe. Karlie had spent more time overwhelmed than welcomed, not that she had much time to get used to it anyways, her luggage was still half undone on the bed of her new residence, and her new roommate had to be wondering where she could be.

But she couldn't wait any more.

She looked down at her phone, following the blue path that marked the map to her destination. Ten minutes, which meant like five, because she was walking listening to toxic by Britney Spears. She wasn't sure at all how to proceed with what she had in mind. Probably she would have to go back to the student's residence with nothing accomplished, but still was worth the try.

Karlie didn't know if she had been subtle with her little lie. She searched for the thousand time that day the direction Taylor had given her a few weeks back, memorizing the number and the floor of the apartment by heart. Now she just had to figure out how to enter.

Tay (ノ º v º)ノ

Karlie I'm hungry

The brunette looked at the message, suppressing a smile as she turned the final turn to reach Taylor's street.
