They kept themselves silent. They didn't say a word to the other boys in the year. The Crossings boys knew they'd kissed, but they didn't ask anything since they came back from the Easter holiday.
Dan and Phil didn't particularly want to say anything, either. They could walk off to the Great Hall pretending they were drifting in there to listen to the younger boy play on the keys of the piano. But, as the sun shone directly above, creeping through the glass roofing above, they weren't going in there to hear the melodies of the instrument. Dan had better things to play.
He did sit at the instrument at first. He took his palm and ran it over the lid, his eyes falling to the black, polished wood that covered the strings inside. But, if he sat at the cushioned stool and looked in the gap just beneath the lid, he could see the strings pull as he pressed the notes. He found it incredible how one small movement could cause a ripple effect and change everything around it.
"It's a bit like an action, isn't it?" Dan hummed to Phil, who was sat beside him on the chair, "I press a key and sound expands outwards. It's loud, too; effective." he bit his lips between his teeth, "Mrs Blackwell once told me it takes more belief to believe there's not a God than there is to believe in one. If you've got a God, you can just explain everything as an occurrence from that. But, if you don't believe there's a God then you'll be constantly searching for answers." he leant his head into Phil's neck, "She told me that it's more powerful not believing in a God, because your life is completely down to you to every decision. Every choice, every word, every action you take will have an impact on the rest of your life and the world around you."
Phil stared admiringly at the boy curled into his side, running his fingertips along his waist as his school shirt ran up against his side.
"That's when I decided I definitely wanted to be an actor. I feel like I'd be able to make my name known. I want to take people and let them escape from their reality. But then, at the same time, I want to make them reflect on their reality."
"I believe you can do that," Phil whispered.
"If I'm honest, so do I. Ever since I properly realised every decision I make influences my life, I realised I could order those choices until I am an actor." the brown-haired boy smiled, looking up at the blue eyes staring into him.
"I don't understand your mind." Phil chuckled, running his fingers through the straightened fringe, "But I love it."
Dan's chest rose and fell. He looked back at the piano keys as he muttered, "You want me to be an actor, don't you?"
"Of course, and I don't think anything should stand in your way." Phil naïvely grinned.
"I don't want to waste a single day." Dan gasped before pressing his lips to the older boy's. He pulled the key out of his back pocket and curled his arms around Phil's shoulders, "I want my clothes off before lunch break ends."
They had to be careful with the lock on the cupboard door, but they realised if they slipped a piece of plastic between the lock mechanism, it would shut the door with them in there and make it look locked, even if it wasn't. Phil battled with it while Dan fought with his tie, undoing the knot and throwing it over a music stand. Their two chairs still sat there patiently, unmoved in the isolated cupboard. Sometimes they wondered if the school remembered this place existed, hidden behind the curtains draping over the back of the room. Maybe Daniel had the only key.
The younger boy flicked the loops of Phil's buttons undone until he was able to tear the fabric off of his shoulders and drop the shirt to the floor. He felt the black-haired boy's hands work at the buttons on his chest, while Dan's claws unlooped Phil's belt and dragged the flies down until his trousers fell to the floor.
"How long do we have?" Phil whispered through heavy breaths, holding the brown-eyed boy's boxer's waistband over his thumbs. He played at the fabric, pulling at the elastic and running it along Dan's lower back.
"Half an hour," Dan smirked, leading Phil into the back of the chair until they were sat on it with the smaller boy on top. He pushed himself down so they could feel the hardness between their abdomens press against each other, "So I guess I should be quick on my knees." he laughed at Phil's gasp until he was on the floor with his elbows on both of the blue-eyed boy's knees. They'd learnt that Dan went first, otherwise he'd be hard again by the time he was done with Phil.
"Fucking hell..." Phil muttered, staring Dan down who was slowly moving forwards.
The younger boy moved back again, cocking his head and looking up, "Not enjoying the tease?"
"Keep teasing and you'll be going back to class with a boner because we've either ran out of time or I get annoyed and force you to put your clothes back on."
"Threatening me, Lester?" Dan slyly asked as he took his best friend's dick out of his boxers and began gently rubbing his fingertips over it.
"Telling you-" he inhaled sharply as the shorter boy's lips fell to the tip of his cock, his brown eyes staring widely up at him, "I hate you." he cursed, chewing down on his bottom lip.
Dan swallowed before he began to slowly move his head down, keeping his tongue wet so it could push along the skin he moved against. He couldn't help but laugh to himself in his head about how he'd never dreamt he'd end up here, but now, where his grandmother's piano once sat, he kneeled as he sucked off his once-enemy.
He kept moving his head, feeling the way it felt moving back and forth on his tongue until it slid to the back of his throat. He swallowed instead of gagged, then he gulped again as he tried to slide his lover's cock into his throat. His eyes lit up with pleasure when he saw the surprise on Phil's face as he continued until the whole length of him was in his mouth. He'd not managed this far before.
The younger boy bobbed slightly, not wanting to lose the depth until his best friend muttered, "Let go, I'm going to come-" Phil shut his eyes and harshly gripped onto Dan's shoulders, but the brown-haired boy didn't release him, "Dan, I can't..." but the other teenager raised his eyebrows as he stayed in place.
Phil let himself come until the boy he loved swallowed around him again, sending shivers down the both of their backs. Dan took in a breath and pulled himself away, rubbing his throat with his fingers and looking exhaustedly up at his friend, "How long do we have?" he asked as he caught his breath.
"Just under twenty minutes." Phil responded with his breaths as pants and his shoulders rising and falling, "Swap places?" he asked with a smirk on his lips. Dan's breaths halted before he nodded, standing up and clambering to the chair.
