Chapter 31: Breach the hangar *

"Sven! I have great news! Teguma made an ally, he said he'd help us get in! " Katsumi said over the radio.

"That's great katty Patty! However, I'm still trying to destroy these damn cannons! " I said as they tried firing at me.

"I finally was able to destroy the ones on my side.... Ya just fire a torpedo down the barrel... " she said in a matter of fact way.

"Well......I tried and kept missing so I zoomed past the barrel and turrets to see if the weak point was near the end of it. However, I discovered something rather remarkable... "

"What? "

"As a design flaw...... If you go into mech mode or tank mode and land on the ship itself.... The cannons can't hit you..... "

"YOU'RE KIDDING ME!! "

"I'm not! I've been slashing at the cannon for a while now and it's not producing any. I'm afraid to just fly off it and do the torpedo thing now because I'll get hit and it's not like I can shimmy my way up the barrel and drop a bomb in in mouth of it because the mech isn't meant for hugging or embracing anything! "

"Christ on a bike... Well, see if there's an opening, maybe you two can sneak inside or try to cut your way in. "

"Will do-"

I was suddenly cut off by hanzo's radio.

"Ladies and gentleman, THE BARRIER IS DOWN!! " he shouted in cheer over the radio. We all cheered alongside him.

"Don't get cocky, we still have this damned ship to deal with.... " said Madori.

"Damn that's right.... The captain.... " he said, being all serious again.

"We can get inside. Barth, who is the ally I mentioned, can protect us long enough to get in. However, he said we'll still take heavy damage on entry and to not expect to leave with our ships, but rather their ship instead. " explained teguma.

"So....basically crash land in the ship and plan on taking it over and going home with it..... Do you realize how crazy that sounds?? " hanzo said.

"It may sound like madness, but it's our only shot to getting in. It's too well armed and it would take too long to take out every Cannon." Teguma said.

"Hey, I'm up for a crash land entry! Beats trying to take out every damned Cannon on this thing! " I said.

"Where are you even? " asked Madori.

"On the ship. "

"You're already in? "

"No, I mean I'm ON the ship. "

"HOW THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT?!"

"I DUNNO! "

"That's what I asked him!! " Katsumi said, chiming in on the chaos.

"Christ, if he gets off the ship hell be blown to bits....however, when we do the breach he could be the first to sneak in while we're being the main targets.... Teguma, patch your friend to us. " said hanzo.

"Right. " he said.

Static came on the radio, then clear audio as teguma's ally was in mid conversation with his captain apparently.

"But sir! This is crazy! They might have the technology to.... Hello? Hello! Grrr! Stubborn old fowl!" He said in anger.

"I take that he won't stand down.... " teguma said solemnly.

"Nay, he's still determined....I'm Barth by the way. The plan is, for me to shield y'all from as much as I can. As soon as this beauty can't take anymore, I have to bail. Ye should be close enough to boost your way through. Once you're in however, you're on your own... " he explained.

"Thank you for your help Barth." Said hanzo.

"Tis be no problem. I just needed my eyes opened is all, teguma you're a great man. Perhaps we can all sit down for a brew together one day! " he said chuckling.

"I don't drink alcohol, however maybe a glass of sake won't hurt... " said teguma.

Once everyone gathered together from what I could see, they formed formation. Setsuna tensed up and was sweating nervously. I patted her back in reassurance. She looked at me and nodded, looking back at the events unfolding. My feet were twitching anxiously, waiting to make a run for the hangar. I myself was sweating nervously in anticipation.

"GO GO GO!! " cried hanzo over the radio, as they charged in after barth unleashed a missile barrage, then boosting forward. Cannons, as predicted, targeted them with barth shielding them from most of the fire. With each heavy blast, pieces of his mech blown off in chunks, armor plates flying all over space. During all that, setsuna and I sneaked our way to the entrance. On arrival, I grabbed the ledge and monkey swinged into the hangar and was met Lazer fire from the soldiers and pilots within the ship.

I started to rain down the pain as I unleashed everything the mech had to offer before taking too much damage and ejecting both me and setsuna from the cockpit. While in the air, we unleashed our attacks onto the crowd of foes, sending them flying. As we landed, our allies flew in and ejected from their ships as well, unleashing their attacks and KOing the foes in the room.

We're at the endgame of this fight. I feel like things are about to get only worse from here......
