Chapter 3: The Onyx Witch *

"Really now? You got into a fight with tomono and fought her in a feral state? You ought to be counting your lucky stars that you weren't a fine paste in the ground! " she said, smiling as she popped my shoulder back in place.

"EYAAAAAHAHAHAAA Mmmmm! " I cried in pain.

"Now hold still.... " she said as she cracked my neck.

"Nnnn ack! Ahhhhh that feels amazing! "

"I'm glad, sir sven! "

"Please, just call me sven. "

"Hehehe alright, sven. " she said as she opened her satchel and pulled out ointment and bandages.

The ointment she used felt amazing, making the pain melt away with each gentle application of it. She gave me some sorta herbal tea as well that helped with the muscle soreness. Dunno how tea would fix that, but it did!

Kyubi, the onyx witch, the local witch doctor of a thousand talents. She fought by our side during the dark veil war. She's quite the beauty, with long, flowing blonde hair, a taste for fashion, and captivating green eyes. We have been seeing each other for the past few months due to her giving me psychological treatment and specialized lotion for my scales.

It seemed as time slowed down when I gazed at her. Each wrap, each ointment application, everything she did was with a smile and god it is gorgeous. It was like a flood light in a cave, a bright full moon, it just gave a glow about her that made me just melt in it's gaze.....

"Uhm? Sven? You ok? "

"Huh? "

"I've been done for the past minute or so. You've been staring off to space.... "

"Oh, pfft, my bad! I was just thinking about someone! "

"Oh? "

"Yea...... Yeaaaa..... " I wasn't lying, I was thinking about her, but when I said that. It reminded me about san and how everyone is broken apart over his condition.

"San will pull through, I'm absolutely sure of this! "

"Huh? How do you know san? "

"Wellllllll..... " she looked around a bit and then leaned closer to me. "I'm actually not from this plane of existence, I'm from a completely different dimension. See, in my world.....oh it sounds so silly."

"Oh no, go on!"

"Well, the story about the sailor scouts and endymion, ya know, them? They have animes, movies, skating events, merchandise, and all sorts of stuff! "

"Sounds like we have the short end of the stick here.... "

"See, in my world, i was a sick young man before dying and coming here! "

"So....isekai'd?"

"Yes!"

Man I love crazy chicks, and this one is top tier already. Nuts, smart, cute, adorable, and friggin charming as hell. What a combination!

"- and that's when i reached out to the tv and..... Uhm, are you listening? "

"Huh? "

"Haaaa as I figured, typical of a man to not listen to women.... " she said with a sigh.

"Oi! I was admiring you is all! "

"O-oh! You were?? Well then, uh, admire away then! " she said blushing.

"Didn't mean to blurt that out, but I believe honesty is the best way. " I said blushing as well, if I could blush that is. Can lizards blush?

"I agree, cuts the nonsense out and gets to the point hohoho. Honestly, if anyone should be doing the admiring, it should be me.... " she said as she poured herself a cup of the same tea she gave me.

"Oh?  Why's that kyubi? " I asked stirring what little tea I had left. She seen I was almost empty and poured me some more tea, while smiling.

"You took on the senshi with San bravely, you helped fight off terrible monsters, and even helped get San into the tower to fight Pandora... I'm afraid your story is only beginning! " she said smiling and taking a sip.

"Welllll I guess that is pretty badass huh? " I said with a chuckle and striking a pose.

"Yes, very! " she laughed.

"Sooo will I see more of your hot self this journey? Hmm? Come on, tell me!" I said teasing her.

"Certainly so, however something will happen really soon that you should prepare for.... Something very big... A new threat is coming and you will have a lot on the line.... I know you'll be ready I'm sure though. You starry knights always seem to react on the fly and go with the flow of things hehehe."

"Aw come on ya gotta gimme more than just that! I need details! Huh, starry knights....i love that jingle to it. Gotta tell san that name for our group, he'ddig it too!"

"Nope! These ruby lips are sealed! "

"Ugggggh stubborn woman!" I said in a joking manner.

That whole evening was spent cutting up and making dumb jokes. Gotta say though, I wouldn't have spent it any other way. Very thankful I bumped into her, she healed my injuries and made my day a blast after dealing with everything that has happened. It really lifted my spirits up quite a bit....... Plus she's hot.

We told each other good bye and I made my way up the mountains to the temple that rested near the top. The path was kept fairly clean. I only stepped on twigs and leaves, it seemed to have no trash at all! Guess the vulepkin really do treasure their sacred grounds after all.

Once I ascended the wooden steps up to the temple, I was met with a fairly open area and a traditional Japanese temple and shrine. Over on the cliff's edge, sat a chair of sorts. Sitting in said chair, was none other than teguma in a meditative trance.

I casually and quietly walked up beside the chair and sat down. I lit a whisper wood twig and began smoking. Chilling with teguma, looking at the incredible view down below.

"Have you come to check up on me, sir Sven?" He asked.

"Why wouldn't I? You probably have the worst of the trauma. You carried him outta that tower.... " I said, puffing some smoke.

He gave a heavy sigh and opened his eyes, meeting his gaze to the village below and the city to the distance.

"It brought me back to a painful time in my life.... When I lost a dear friend who changed my life.... " he said with a solemn tone.
