Chapter 5: Hospital Visit *

Once Sven walked off, and I knew he was faking and was in pain, me and the girls took a bath. We took turns doing so, hikaru being first, katsumi second, then me as the last one. I didn't mind it being cold water, it helped wake me up a bit.

"Let us clean up and see your brother." I said to my daughters.

"Yes mother!" They both said.

"You need a shower, stinky butt!" Hikaru said giggling and skipping into the house.

Katsumi sniffed herself and immediately grimaced.

"Alright, I'll let ya have that one." She said with a smile.

Once we took a well deserved shower and put on fresh clothes, we put all the dirty clothes in the washer, so that they would be cleaning while we were gone.

After locking up, we made our way to the hospital. We seen kyubi and waved at her on the way there.

"Hello tamono and katsumi, and who is this little angel? " she said squatting down to hikaru's level.

"Hikaru ma'am! I'm twelve! " hikaru said with a smile.

"Not having to beat boys away with a stick are ya? You're too cute not to be surrounded by em!" kyubi said giggling.

"Nah, they think I'm weird since I can freeze stuff! " she said in a strangely chipper manner.

"And... You're happy about this? " kyubi asked.

"Why live if I can't be myself?" She said.

We were all taken aback by this comment. Though she was young, she was very mature. Something tells me, she will grow up into a fine woman and mother at that. Please stay this way Hikaru....

"Myyy myyy such a bright an-....hey, didn't i see you during the dark veil incident?" She asked.

"Mhm! We beat up a monster together!" Hikaru said, proud as can be.

"Huh....guess that was during the time i had to make a hasty retreat...." kyubi said to herself.

"Retreat?" I asked.

"Yes, i was low on mana and demon energy. I had to, otherwise i would have perished! I stayed for the most of it though, right when that weird thing started to absorb the demons at the top of the tower." She explained.

Makes sense, if you have nothing else to work with and have expended everything, retreat is the better choice. Knowing her powers, she must have used quite a bit of power to aid us. Without her there, we would have probably lost! She was probably taking care of a great deal of demons on her own.

"We were just on our way to see San, what are you up to? " asked katsumi.

"Well I just bumped into the cutest guy, so I dunno! Probably will go dress shopping, pick some herbs, I dunno! I'm just so happy!" She said, giggling and doing a little twirl. I wonder what kinda man swept her off her feet I wonder?

"Well, i do hope you have a great visit! Do take care! " she said as she hummed a tune and walked away.

"Momma, is she drunk?" asked Hikaru.

"Oh nononono! She's in love!" I corrected her.

"Huh.... So people get drunk when in love? Weird.... " she said. Haaa she'll understand one day....

We all had a chuckle or two about her comment, but we resumed our walk soon after. The hospital was a private hospital for the queen, King, family, and servants. It takes in other patients if need be, but it's privately owned primarily. I feel it was built and managed for the likes of Ami, so she could be a guardian and a doctor as well. The hospital looked like any other hospital, except is was more cleaner than most and a tad more decorative.

On arrival, we had to show our ID badges. Queen serenity had us all logged into the system, in case something were to happen or if we just wanted to visit. Again with the hospital, since were knights and guardians, we have access to it. Since there are only exclusives mainly, we get treated quicker and rest easier, due to minimal traffic and demand.

The guard nodded and opened the gates for us.

"Ey, you're the knights from that freaky fog incident! Wow, you guys are celebrities! " he said excitedly.

"Why yes we are!" I said, a bit weirded out and surprised.

"Y'all are almost as popular as when sailor V became popular! Mikasa family right? The one relative to katsumi mikasa of the sailor senshi? " he asked.

"Yes, I'm her mother, tamono mikasa, and this is hikaru mikasa. I adopted her recently. " I said, patting her head, making her smile brightly.

"Cute lil thing, almost as old as chibiusa when she were younger. I'm a huge fan of sailor moon and her group of heroes, ever since I was a boy! That's why I'm a guard here!"

"Is that so? Well, we're here to see my son, San Manfred! " I said smiling.

"Sir Solar knight? Sure! Room 131....wait, you're his mother too? " he asked.

"Yes, not by blood though. I adopted him when he was a mere babe. We don'tlet blood separate us as family. We're all family." I said.

"That's right!" katsumi said.

"But isn't his last name Manfred? " he said with a puzzled look.

"When my late husband found him, he wore a necklace that said 'San Manfred' on it. We decided to let him keep the name, because it's the last thing his previous family had for him. He thinks of himself as a mikasa and that's all that matters to me! " I said with a smile and nod.

"Wow, origin stories! Hahaha my inner fan boy is just giddy with excitement today! Y'all have a nice visit, don't be a stranger to us! " he said, bowing.

"Thank you very much! " I said as we bowed to the man in the booth and walked away.

"See? Now that's a weirdo! " said hikaru.

"Watch your mouth, you little ice cube! " katsumi barked back.

"Make me flea bag! " hikaru said sticking out her tongue.

"Girls, you will act accordingly, or i will strike you both on the rear! " I said, looking back with a glare. They yelped and apologized, for they knew who was in charge.

Soon, we arrived to the hospital and walked in. The halls were littered with nurses and doctors, however there wasn't as many as I expected. It was pretty bare and a casual air about it. We then took the elevator to the second floor.

I couldn't help but feel nervous about this. My baby is probably wrapped up in bandages and in terrible shape. That monster hurt him bad. He had several deep cuts, almost lost a limb, and other injuries. Seeing him bleed and limp in teguma's arms scarred me for life. However, for his sake, I must push on.

When we arrived to his room, miss Ami walked out with a cart.

"Oh! Good evening miss mikasa!" she said cheerfully with a smile.
