Chapter 6: Visitation *

"Hello there Miss Tamono, Katsumi, Hikaru. How are you all? " Ami said bowing to each of us while greeting us.

"We're doing fine miss Ami. " I said smiling.

"How's brother doing? " katsumi asked.

"Well, he's still unconscious and unresponsive.... I just now replaced his bandages....there's nothing more i can do. He won'twake up...." ami said tearing up.

"Honey..... " I said trying to console her.

"They... Hic.... They said they'd cut the cord... Hic... If he flat lines again! Hic hic he doesn't deserve this!! " she said bursting into tears.

I was shocked. Just how many times did he flat line? How bad of a condition was he in? They're gonna cut my baby off life support??

"Hic... I wanted to be a doctor to save lives... Hic... Not watch one fade away...he.... He did so much that he didn't have to, went through so much hic.... I feel like a failure! " she said trying to calm down.

"Oh deary, you're doing everything you can.... He'll get better in no time, he always springs back from the worst of things. When he was little, he got sick with the stomach flu, but after a day or two, he was back to playing outside with his sister again! You're not a failure of a doctor, besides, you're still young and learning after all! " I said giving her a hug and so did katsumi and hikaru.

She eventually stopped crying and cheered up. She wiped away her tears and recomposed herself.

"Thank you for that, miss tamono. " she said.

"No problem dear. Now, can we see him?" I asked.

"Why, certainly! " she said guiding us in.

He was asleep as expected. He had a few cuts and bruises, but they had ointment and were healing. He looked so peaceful and happy. He smelt clean, he had the scent of soap and deodorant. Nothing too strong, just standard antiperspirant. She took care of my baby body well.

"He smells clean and looks nice! You took good care of my boy! " I said looking at ami.

"Mhm! I cleaned him up, dressed him, and applied the medicines he requires. I'm his personal nurse, doctor in training! " she said proudly and smiling.

"That means you seen his.... " said katsumi.

"Mhm! But it's professional work!" She said.

"OH MY GOODNESS I SEEN AND TOUCHED IT!! " she said turning red as a tomato and flustering.

"Heheheh didn't know you was a closet perv ami. " kat said with a smirk and nudging her teasingly.

"Nonono! It's not like that! I-i-i have to to make sure he's clean and healthy! " she said waving her arms around.

"Mhm, you probably had dirty thoughts too heheheh. " kat said snickering.

"That's enough kat, she's a professional. She's probably had to do that a lot here as a doctor. We'll, talk about marriage arrangements later!" I teased.

"Well....he's my first male patient......" Ami said, pressing her fingers together nervously.

"M-MARRIAGE?!" Ami exclaimed.

"Were you impressed?? Is he a suitable mate to you?? You seen and touched his you-know-what so you must take responsibility! " I said, trying to goat her into marrying sanny.

"W-whaaaat?! " ami said freaking out.

All three of us turned to ice suddenly.

"Will you three chill out? Sheesh, acting like kids.... " said hikaru as she unfroze us.

"S-she's r-right, s-sorry f-for giving you a hard time.... " me and katsumi said.

"I-i-its f-fine! " said ami as all three of us shiver from the ice.

Once we thawed, we sat down and had some idle chatter. Hikaru was doodling in a senshi coloring book as we talked about this and that. Suddenly, minako came in with flowers.

"Oh, hey there guys! What a pleasant surprise! " she said as we all took turns greeting and giving her hugs. She placed the flowers on san's tableside in the vase.

"He had more gifts and flowers, but we had to put them in the corner. Don't wanna suffocate him! " ami said giggling.

"Must be nice being loved by so many girls..... " minako said drifting off, sort of becoming depressed.

"What's wrong dear? " I asked.

"It's nothing, he's got charm, humor, and is brave as can be.... It's a surprise that he doesn'thave a swarm of girls after him." she said.

"Ha! So you were drooling over him, huh mina?" Teased kat.

"Yes, but it's a fool's dream on my end. You see, I'm cursed to never find love. I am forever to put my duties first. That is my fate.... " she said solemnly.

"Sounds more like a prediction, more than a curse. So what, if he chooses you, you'll turn him down? " I asked.

"You don't understand! If he falls for me, and I fall for him, it will end horribly! They either get targeted by evil forces or leave me for better women! " she said, almost crying.

I stood up and was aggravated with her.

"Look, you have nothing to worry about sanny! If he's targeted by evil, he would most definitely slay them, knowing him! As for the last bit, he is faithful and is a good man! I know this because I am his mother after all! Your fear and doubt is holding you back! Chase him mina! Don't give up!" I protested.

"Didn't you try and hook him up with ami just a second ago? " kat snarkily said.

"I agree mina! You've been through a lot! You deserve a happy ending and happy life! You more than deserve love! Go for him, fight for him with tooth and nail! " ami chimed in.

"Oh boy, the others will get murdered....." said kat.

Minako sniffled a bit, then smiled and nodded.

"If he chooses me, I'll welcome him with open arms. We'll fight side by side as guardians should!" She said happily.

"Now..... Let's talk about you two having a nest and giving me some pups to spoil!" I said.

"Mom!! " said katsumi and hikaru at the same time.
