Chapter 17: the wait.

Blake's prov:

D-"Excuse me. Are you Miranda's Fiancé?

Bl-"Yes I am. Any news?"

D-"Actually its an update. Miranda was shot in the stomach which is one of the worse places to get shot. I was in surgery with her and now they no longer need me. She had lost a lot of blood, but shes a very strong woman. She's been fighting to stay alive sir. We thought her heart would have needed to be restarted by now but her heart his beating like a champ. Right now they are repairing the last part of the stomach. In an hour or two they should be done. When she is out she will be put in the ICU until she is not considered in critical condition."

L-"So your saying shell be alright then?"

D-"So far yes. But you will all know more when the doctor comes."

Bl-"Thank you."

D-"No need for thanks. I'm just doing what I've always wanted to do. Save peoples lives. Now excuse me. I have another surgery."

L-"Thank you. Bye."

Oh thank god. If she's pulling through surgery with no problems then she's coming back to me. I can't lose her.

C-"Blake?"

Carrie pulled me from my thoughts..

Bl-"Hmm?"

C-"When's the last time you ate?"

Bl-"Um I think lunch after the interviews.."

C-"You should get something to eat.."

L-"What if we all just order pizza?"

C-"Sounds good to me."

Br-"Yeah. I'll buy."

Bl-"Fine.."

Carolines prov

I've been sitting here for awhile with Huck and Jasper.. Where is Luke? And when are we going to see Carrie?

J-"Aunt Caroline?"

C-"Yeah?"

J-"I'm hungry and I want mommy.."

H-"Me too."

C-"How about we go find Uncle Luke and talk about getting some food? Then well go find mommy and daddy."

H-"Okay." He said jumping off the ground. He came over to me and helped me up. They both grabbed my hands and we started walking through the crowd. We finally made it near the door when I thought I heard Carries voice. I stopped and started looking around. That's when I spotted her blonde hair and Luke.

C-"Boys this way."

I walked closer to then and when I knew it was Carrie I was instantly happier.

Caroline-"CARRIE!!" I let go of the boys hands and ran over to her. She turned and faced me with a huge smile on her face. We hugged each other for awhile then separated. I had tears running down my cheeks and she also had tears.

Caroline-"I seriously thought I was going to lose you!"

Carrie-"That's impossible! You could never get rid of me. Even if you tried."

Br-"Now that's true."

J-"Mommy!!!!"

I moved away from Carrie so Jasper could get to her. She instantly scooped him up and started crying more as she held him. Huck ran after Jasper and into Brads arms. It was like one big happy family reunited again.. It'd made me cry some more.
