Chapter 10: where do we go.

Brads prov

I got the boys ready to go and we decided to take the stairs. We grabbed everything and carrie put the leash on Ace so Jasper could walk him. Carrie ran around and made sure we didn't leave anything behind. Once we doubled check everything, we walked out of the hotel room and ran to the stairs. We were going down then as fast as we could and I heard Carries phone go off but she ignored it and kept going. But that's when Huck missed a step and fell down the stairs. I heard a thud and my heart started to race. But Before I could do anything Carrie rushed to him. She put everything down and picked him up and held him as he cried.

C-"Brad we have to keep moving Before they find us here. I don't want them too. And I'm definetly  not ready to face them." Then we heard foot steps from below coming up fast towards us. My heart started to beat fast than it already was. That's when they were just below us. I looked at Carrie and I knew she was scared. I moved Jasper towards Carrie with the stuff in my hands and blocked them. That's when I seen long blonde hair. Then I knew it was Sandy. She came running up the steps then stopped when she seen us.

S-"Come one. There in the elevator. I made sure they went up before I came." She noticed Huck crying and Carrie holding him. " you guys need help." She grabbed some stuff and took off down the stairs. I let Jasper. And Carrie go in front of me. Then I followed. Once we got to the main floor, Sandy peeked out to make sure no one was there except Dan. He gave the nod to everything is clear. Then we took off running towards the back exit to my truck. We threw everything in the back of the truck and I buckled Jasper in.

C-"Thank you for everything Sandy! I will text you later! " while she hugged sandy still holding Huck. Then I went. And hugged Sandy when Carrie walked to the truck and put Huck in the middle in the front next to her and got in.

B-"We owe you big. Thanks again. Then I got in the truck. We watched Sandy walk to the back door. She waved good bye to us and walked inside. I started the truck and took off. I made sure no one saw us from the front entrance before turning.

Carries prov:

We were sitting in Brads truck and I felt tears forming in my eyes. I tried to push them back but it didn't work. I looked at Huck who was holding on to me tightly as he cried.

C-"Huck where does it hurt?"

H-"My..My head!"

C-"Can I see?"

He moved back and right on his forehead. there was a bump. It was a small bump.

C-"Brad. He has a small bump on his forehead.." I said and he pulled over an looked at Hucks head..

B-"oh bud.. I'm sorry.. It's going to be okay.. I promise. He said. I could tell he was crying from the his eyes being a little puffy. Then he looked at me. "Care.. Everything is going to be okay.." Then he went back to driving.

C-"Brad.. I think we should call Miranda and Blake. There not that far from here."

B-"Okay.."

I pulled out my phone and dialed Miranda's number. Once she answered I explained everything to her. Then we hung up.

B-"what did they say?"

C-"To get our butts over there and that they have the rifles ready." I said laughing.

B-"Haha.. That them for you.. Well were going to be about twenty minutes before we get there."

C-"Okay"

B-"Carrie.. I love you and I will not them lay a hand on you or the kids."

C-"I know you won't and I love you too."
