chapter 5: what did you say?

Daves prov

As soon as I laid her on the couch I went to work. She had blood o her face that looks like its from a cut. I start to clean it when I realize she's starting to bleed from between her legs. Oh god. That's not good. "Where the hell is the ambulance?!" I said as i looked around. No ones in here. I guess thats good so that mr. Paisley didnt see her like this. As soon as i went back to work on Carrie two perimedics rolled in a bed. I moved out of the way and let them put her on the bed. I tell them everything and they took her away. I've got to find Mr. Paisley now. I started to look around when I heard a noise behind a trashcan. "Hello? Is someone there?" I asked. I saw a little head peep around the corner then hid again. I walked over and bent down to where I could meet his eyes.

D-"hey buddy. Are you lost? What's your name?"

J-"Jasper.. I want daddy and aunt Carrie!!!"

D-"well my name is dave. Come on.. I'll help you find your dad."

J-"okay but aunt Carrie too." With that I swung him onto my hips and we began walking to find Mr.Paisley

Brads prov

"Jasper!!!!!!! JASPER!!!!!!!!!" I yelled.

I've checked every bathroom and room so far and he's no where! Maybe he went back to Carrie. I turn around and run back to the room. No one is in there. Not even Carrie. I looked around the room and that's when I noticed blood on the couch. A lot of blood. I turn and run out of the room almost crashing into Huck and Nichole.

H-" Dad we can't find him!"

N-"we looked everywhere and we came to find you when we seen Carrie get loaded into the ambulance."

B-"AMBULANCE?! Omg Carrie! We've got to find Jasper now and head to hospital" o felt more tears rolling out of my eyes. Carrie is hurt really bad an do can't fins my son.

J-"DADDY!!!!"

I spun around fast to see the man that was helping Carrie with my son on his hip. He set Jasper  and I ran towards him and scooped him up. I was so glad he was okay. J-"Dad where's Carrie? I want her to hold me!"

B-" were going to see her right now okay..." J-"Okay!"

I give Dave a nod in thank you and turn around with Jasper in my arms and grab Hucks hanah and run towards the truck. I got them in and drove till we arrived at the hospital.we pile out of the truck and rush through the sliding doors up to the desk.

"NURSE?!!!??"

N-"Yes?"

B-" where is Carrie Underwood?"

N-"shes in the trama room. I'll let her doctor know you are here. Please sit in the waiting room sir."

I walk over to the waiting room and get the boys situated. We waited for 1hr.

Doc-"Mrs. Fishers family."

I stand up and walk to him.

Doc-" Sir she is stable and awake. But we are about to give her some bad news that you need to be in there with her for."

B-" okay um is it okay if my boys come back with me? No one else is here with us."

Doc-" I don't care."

I walk over and grab the boys and we walk to Carries room. I open the door and its quiet. I can see her laying there staring at the ceiling. We all walk in and the boys go and sit down in the chairs that were set in the room.

B-"Care?''

C-"Brad? Is that you?" She said as she looked at him with tears in her eyes

B-"yeah its me. Hey don't cry care! Its ok. Were here now."

Carrie scoots over and I get into bed with her and hold her tight as she cries.

Carries prov:

I scoot over so Brad can get into bed with me. And he does. I lay on his chest and just lost it. He grabbed me and held me tight. Then he does this thing that he has never done before. He leans down and kisses my forehead. I felt all warm inside when he did that. I liked it. And I liked the feeling I had inside me. I couldn't help but smile when he did that and I looked up at him with tears in my eyes and I could tell he was blushing.

C-" Brad?"

B-" yeah Care?"

C-"Im going to divorce Mike."

B-"I'm going to divorce Kim. And I'm keeping the boys far away for her a possible."

I couldn't help but smile even bigger when he said that. I loved the way he made me feel. Even Mike couldn't make me feel this way. He never could. And I always got butterflies in my stomach when I talked to Brad and I love his smile. She couldn't stop thinking about him while she was in his arms. Am I falling for Brad? I think I am.. And I'm okay with that. I wonder if he feels the same way.. She was interupted when the doctor came in smiling.

Doc-"Hello Carrie. How are you feeling?"

C-"I'm ok but my face hurts and so does my stomach."

Doc-"well its going to be like that for the next couple of days. ok do you want the good news or bad news first?"

C-"Bad news..."

Doc-"I'm sorry to tell you but Carrie, you were one month pregnant but you lost the baby after the accident.."

C-"What did you just say?! Did you just say I was pregnant and now I'm not because of the fight?!?! NO!!!! This can't be happening! This can't be happening!!!!!!" I felt more tears form in my eyes as I was sitting up. All of a sudden I felt Brad grab me and pull me so close to him. I tried to move but he just gripped me tighter and I just let him hold me as I start to cry into his chest. After a few minutes the doctor speaks up.

Doc-" now for the good news.. We can realese you tonight but you have to stay with someone for at least three days. Do you have anyone you could call that could take care of you?"

Before ei could say anything Brad speaks up.

B-" she's stay with me in a hotel where our spouses can't find us."

C-" Brad I can't let you do that. I can call..." He cuts me off by putting a finger over my mouth. And I couldn't help but melt when. He did that.

B-"Carrie you are staying with me and the boys and there is no buts about it."

C-"Okay.."

Doc-" Okay well that's settled I'll go get your realese forms now then and then you guys can go! Bye Carrie an stay safe!"

I let go of Brad so he can go and sign the realese forms. While he was gone the boys came over and got into bed with me and snuggled. Soon Brad came back and in smiling.

B-" Hey Carebear! Are you ready to get out of here?"

C-"Yeah! I hate it here!"

B-"Alright let's get going cause we have to stop and our stuff before we head to a hotel. Mike and Kim are you know where for the night but they'll be out in the mourning and im certain they'll be looking for us.."

C-"alright guys let's get out of bed and go to the truck!"

We all get ready to leave an since I'm ready we walk out and go to the truck. A half hour later they arrive at brads house first to pack some of there stuff.
