Chapter nineteen: trip

Larry's P.O.V

I had to get to the bottom of this.

They clearly were so into each other, but they don't want to say it.

I do heavily regret waltzing into the room at that moment, because I interrupted something clearly important for them.

Sal was about to have his first kiss and I totally ruined it.

Better yet, his first kiss with my other best friend.

This gets me so stoked.

I waited a long time for (Y/N) to come back and for her to just be in my life again, and now I was finally seeing her happy with someone.

On the other hand, Sal had always been on his own.

One time, we were watching a movie, and he casually asked me if anyone could love him like the two people we in the movie loved each other.

It took me by surprise when he asked, we were only teens. But I was quick to say that of course someone could. And I knew someone would. Seeing that he can have that now with someone who is great for him is everything to me.

I watched as (Y/N) shut her eyes, doing her best to fall asleep. I felt sort of bad for poking fun at her and tiring her out. For a bit I sat there just staring at the wall.

When about half an hour passed, I just gently tucked her into some blankets and exited my room.

My mom was standing in the kitchen at the sink. She looked over with her eyebrow raised at me "What was all that noise you two were making?"

I guess I didn't realize how loud I was being while I interrogated her.

I huffed and smiled, walking over to help her out with the dishes "I think Sal and (Y/N) like each other"

She grinned and ruffled my hair, making me pull away and laugh. "You know, I always thought you and (Y/N) would end up together!"

I coughed and shook my head wildly "Nah not into her like that, she's really cool but you should see her with Sal. It's really something else."

My mom took the dishes from my hands and swiftly put them away in their respective places "I'm happy for the two of them! Just don't start meddling with their relationship Lar-bear"

"I know mom, I'm trying. They're just sooooo oblivious" I snorted and wiped my hands on a towel.

"Even so, they have to take their time. Don't rush anything with them. The time will come when things fall into place, and it'll be on their time"

She was right, I didn't want to force them together when they weren't ready.

But again. It was so hard not to mess with them.

It was always so funny to make fun of Sal and get him all flustered but now that (Y/N) is here, It's even more fun. Two for the price of one!

"Yeah but, they almost kissed" she whipped her head around to me and gave me a me a puzzled look "but I accidentally walked in on them" i chortled.

"Larry!" She scolded with a hand on her hip "how would you feel if I walked in while you were about to kiss a girl!"

I gagged at the thought and walked away, making her laugh as she continued cleaning.

"I think I'm gonna go check in on Sal. He was a little all over the place when we left, but maybe I can get things out of him too" I eagerly ran through the door as I heard my mom nag me from afar.
