Chapter twenty-six: finally

(Y/N)'s P.O.V

The drive home was really quiet and almost too slow.

I could feel Larry's eyes peering back at the two of us any chance that he got, looking for any signs of what happened last night.

But we weren't really showy about everything.

We both stared out of our respective windows, not making any eye contact, or even any physical contact.

It wasn't a big deal, it was just that Larry wanted to make a big deal about it.

The four of us occasionally chatted about how much of a good time we had, but otherwise it was pretty quiet.

Larry had the radio quietly playing Sanity's fall, but he wasn't blasting it as usual.

Definitely was still interested in last nights situation.

As we finally made into the apartments, Larry quickly unbuckled and turned around. "I'm going inside, but (Y/N), we are going to have a talk! I'll meet you in there."

I looked at him wide eyes as he had a smirk on his face, hooping out of the car quickly as Lisa rolled her eyes and followed after him.

The two of us got out of the car giggling, but waited a moment.

"That car ride was real weird" Sal huffed and shook his head.

"Tell me about it. At least the awkward part is over for you" I smiled and laughed. He nodded in agreement.

Stepping into the building felt as if our lives were back to normal again.

We had our bags in our hands as we walked through the open elevator doors.

It was silent for only a moment.

"Come here" he said quietly.

I looked to him as he reached his hand over to my cheek, holding it lightly. He leaned forward and lifted his mask, kissing me gently on the lips.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and continued to kiss him. It was such a lovely feeling; I felt like I was on cloud nine.

The doors opened slowly and I was met with the familiar basement floor.

I sighed sadly as our lips released and he put his mask back down.

"I'll uh... I'll see ya Sal" my cheeks were hot as I awkwardly punched his arm.

"See ya" he cleared his throat and pressed the button to his floor.

I stared into his blue eyes as the metal rectangles closed, making me sad when he disappeared.

I dragged my body to the front of Larry's place and stepped inside carefully and slowly.

I was hoping he wouldn't realize right away, but he had already been standing there with his arms crossed.

You could tell he was messing around, there was some truth in his protective nature.

"What in the HELL was that?!" He shouted playfully. "I can't believe you guys-"

"Lar-bear leave the poor girl alone!" Lisa scolded from the couch "let her live her life and find love as she pleases!"

I blushed and walked past Larry without looking him in the eyes

"So are you gonna explain, missy?" He questioned with one eyebrow raised high.

"Explain what?"

"You and Sal!! Explain what you were doing sucking his face completely off!"

"Larry!" I squealed, seeing he had a wide grin. "I don't know! We a kissed a few times! That's all!"

"A few?!" He gasped dramatically and threw his arms up "I didn't raise you like this (Y/N)!"

"Dude, you didn't raise me at all" I pointed out, placing my bag on the ground.

"Was that even your first kiss with him?!" Larry had a huge smile at this point, he just loved messing with me.

I stayed quiet, fully confirming his suspicions.

"You.. but you and Sal.. I-"

"(Y/N)!" Larry finally let go of that protective act (though it was probably not much of an act) and started booking it around the apartment. "MY BEST FRIEND AND MY OTHER BEST FRIEND, WHAT THE HELL! THATS SO EXCITING FUCK YES!"

I giggled wildly as he pulled me into a hug and twirled me around. He was really happy for us and it showed. That's so cute.

"Larry, don't break her body!" Lisa demanded as he set me down "be gentle!"

"We aren't together or anything" I simply stated "we didn't want to like. Stress out about the whole thing!"

"Not yet" he teased.

After a few minutes of him blabbering about the entire trip and how Sal and I were so obvious about it but he didn't think anything of it, we went to his room.

Lisa told me not to let him pressure me too much into talking about everything, and just to shut him up when it became enough.

I watched as Larry walked to his bed, with a slight smirk on his face. "Come here you loser!"

I waltzed my way over and he took me into a giant hug, pulling me down onto the bed with him. I rolled so I laid beside him, as he sat up onto his elbows.

"So like... when did you guys first kiss?" He questioned, staring over at me.

Instinctively, I covered my face from embarrassment. "The lake."

He gasped "How did it happen!"

I squealed and shrugged "I don't know! You guys were basically fighting in the water and I saw Sal all alone. I went over and I don't know! We ended up together and we just... kissed"

He was so invested. "Did you guys fuck?"

"N-no oh my god Larry!" I screamed and turned over, planting my face into the soft pillow.

"This is insane" he murmured. "I'm so happy for you two. Fucking  finally"

I loudly groaned into the pillow.

"Can I be the flower girl at the wedding?"

I smacked him hard and he laughed hysterically.

We stayed silent for a moment, but I knew he would soon press on.

"So. Do you want to be more than what you guys are now?" Larry asked, curiously.

I took a moment to think about it. I mean, I'm pretty sure I did. I don't see why I wouldn't. Sal is amazing, but am I even ready to be in a relationship with him?

For all we know, he could end up not liking me like how Ash didn't like him.

"I'm not sure yet. But I'm leaning towards a yes"

Larry reached over and ruffled my hair. "Make sure you're looking out for yourself (Y/N). And if anything happens, you let me know. I won't beat his ass cause it's Sal, but I would mind having a stern talking to him. Same goes to you though. I just might beat your ass"

I smiled and hugged him tight. "Thanks man"
