chapter thirty-one: phone call

"OH MY FUCKING GOD!" I heard Larry screeched from the other room.

I groaned as I opened my eyes, looking up to Sal who held me in his arms. I was so comfortable and I could tell he was so sleepy too.

It was I'm the morning and all I wanted was to stay.

His bare chest radiated all the heat I needed to fall back asleep

"PLEEEEEAAAASE SOMEONE!" He almost whines like a little girl.

I rolled my eyes as I stood up from the bed, seeing Sal curl back up under the blankets.

I smiled mentally and walked to the living room.

Larry was perched up on the table, hugging his knees tight. "Oh thank FUCK (Y/N)!"

My eyebrow raised as he pointed downwards. I looked snd laughed hysterically.

There was a spider. A super small one.

"Why are you laughing!!!" He yelled "get that thing before it eats us all!"

I shook my head jokingly and grabbed a cup, trapping it inside carefully and walking towards the door.

From behind, I heard a sigh of relief as he stepped down off the table.

I made my way out to the porch and set the little guy free with no hesitation. I'm not the type to kill bugs, I just don't wanna kill something that doesn't really deserve it.

A pair of loving and familiar arms wrapped around my waist and I leaned back into the form.

He was still shirtless but had a blanket wrapped around his shoulders, engulfing me lovingly into the warmness.

"Goodmorning love" he mumbled in his tired raspy voice while kissing the back of my head. He buried his face in my neck and breathed gently "thanks for taking care of that"

I nodded and giggled "anything for him, you know? Love him to death"

He nodded against my skin and hummed quietly.

Sal was getting much more comfortable being without his mask. Mainly around me, but also the others.

I don't think Todd or Neil have fully seen his face just yet. Small glimpses in the mornings, or when he gets out of the shower.

Larry always busts into his room randomly so he's definitely had a look a few times.

Generally, he does keep his face hidden still. Scurries back to his room or through the house when he has his mask off, but he's a lot more comfortable and less afraid so it's really really nice.

"Hey Sal?" I breathed

"Yeah?"

"You're really amazing"

He snickered and planted a kiss on the back of my shoulder squeezing me tight.

This was everything I wanted in life. It's so crazy we've all made it to this point, especially with me being absent for so long.

I turned my body and wrapped my arms around his neck, smiling up at him happily. "You're so cool. You're like... everything I ever wanted"

He was silent for a moment but I heard a shaking breath come from him as he slightly laughed, bringing his sleeve to his eye and wrapping the blanket tighter around him. "Jesus (Y/N), you're gonna make me cry"

I pouted my lip out and leaned forward, pecking him gently on his lips, and then lightly on his nose. "I mean every word, Sal"
