So without further adooooo, here's a chapter in his perspective!!!

Travis' P.O.V

There was a soft knock on the door, one that I didn't recognize.

I groaned and pinched the bridge of my nose as I sat on the couch, hearing my dad stomp his way to the door.

"Why didn't you get the damn door you lazy piece of... fuck these door-to-door salesmen, don't they know that I don't want to buy their shit?!" He boomed, not even caring it only happened just moments ago.

He reached the door and opened it swiftly, making a loud bang as it hit the wall behind him.

"Who are you?" My dad grumbled as I kept my eyes on the TV screen.

"Hello sir, I'm sorry that I came around today. Is Travis home?"

I whipped my head around and my eyes widened as I made direct eye contact with (Y/N).

I could tell that my dad was staring at her, a little too intently. "Come in"

She hesitantly stepped through the doorway as he moved away, back into the kitchen making whatever he was cooking for dinner.

I furrowed my eyebrows angrily and stood up, walking over to her and stopping right in front of her short figure. "What the hell are you doing here?!" I scowled, watching her reach into her pocket.

She pulled out my sunglasses that I let her borrow. I guess I didn't realize I took off without them.

"I thought I'd bring these to you. I didn't know when I'd see you next, and they looked expensive so... I didn't want to lose them before I got the chance" she seemed a little awkward, like she felt out of place.

And I didn't blame her.

I snatched them from her hand and put them down on the table beside the couch. "Okay." Was all I said.

There was a silence that fell between us, one that I didn't know how to fill.

"You didn't tell me you had a friend, Travis" my dads deep voice interrupted it. "Why don't you invite her to stay for dinner?"

I felt my heartbeat quicken from nervousness.

I never had anybody over before, let alone did I ever think I would be having her of all people in my home.

"Dad I think she should-"

"Travis." He warned, anger spilling in his words.

I let out a shaky breath and swallowed hard. "Would you like to stay and have dinner with us?" I spoke kindly, clutching the cross I wore around my neck.

She took a look around the house and looked at all the crosses hung on the wall, and all of the Bible quotes my dad framed. It was like she was analyzing the situation to make her next moves.

She gave me a small, understanding smile and cleared her throat. "I'd love to. I can only stay for a little bit though, just because I have to help watch Gizmo tonight"

I knew she was lying, that damn cat doesn't need anyone watching him. He's like his own person or something.
