Bailey and Slayzes exited the enormous brick building. Both looked over at the girls dorms room.
Nobody was out, yet. At least it looked like that.
"Let's go," said Bailey.
"Yeah."
The two started walking up the dirt path. The air seemed awkward, there wasn't really anything to talk about. Bailey starting twiddling his thumbs around.
A loud screeching was heard in the sky. Slayzes and Bailey both looked up. It was a dark, green bird.
"The Luck Bird!" Bailey pointed out, pointing at the fairly large bird with green wings.
"The what?" Slayzes asked in confusion.
"A Luck Bird. It either gives somebody bad luck or good luck. I wonder who it'll be?"
"Let's just continue walking. I want get to the Great Hall."
"OK, just letting you know," Bailey muttered.
As the boys reached the stone bridge, Slayzes looked it. Drake was doing some push ups. He seemed to breaking a sweat.
The two boys walked passed him. Slayzes had the urge to tell Drake that the first class started in forty minutes.
"Drake, class starts soon. You might want to hurry?"
"Whatever, ladies man," Drake grunted.
"Are you sure? You might –"
"I will be there soon!" Drake barked, cutting Bailey off.
The two boys looked at each other and then shrugged their shoulders. "Have it your way," they both said in unison as they continued to walk down the path.
"So you know my cousin, right?" Bailey asked, making Slayzes confused.
"I don't think so," Slayzes replied in confusion.
"So you don't know Aalto?"
Slayzes's head snapped at Bailey. "What? Aalto is your cousin!" Slayzes blurted.
"Yeah, didn't he tell you about me?"
"Let me think," Slayzes replied, scratching his head. It made him look stupid. "Nope," he answered, still in shock. "You look nothing alike, to be honest."
The two boys stopped walking. Bailey looked down to his feet. He seemed slightly disappointed. "I guess he didn't tell you that we're also apart of the Royal Family?" Bailey asked, surprising Slayzes even more.
Slayzes's eyes widened. "YOU'RE APART OF THE RO–!"
"SHUT UP!" Bailey hissed putting a hand over Slayzes's mouth. "We can't let everyone know! I only told you because you are my roommate, and Aalto's friend," Bailey removed his hand from Slayzes's mouth, letting Slayzes gasp for air.
Slayzes stared at Bailey, making the other boy feel uncomfortable. Many questions swirled around his head about Aalto.
Slayzes's voice became quiet."Wait. If you're apart of the ... Royal Family, how come you or Aalto aren't in the palace? Or, how come you aren't on the throne?"
"Easy. We both wanted a normal life," Bailey started to explain. "We couldn't handle that stuff. You know, a crown, royal duties, a palace. So when we turned eight, we both moved to different sides of the land. We both then had a discussion and we had to come here if we weren't going claim the throne. Also, it is kind of freaky but ... we were born on the same day," the boy at last finished his long explanation.
