Three weeks had passed since Skylah got kicked out of her home from her parents. She was struggling to be her cheerful self. She hadn't been cheerful, smiling or talkative like she used to be. She was way off her usual self.
As the morning came, Slayzes realised that there was only one week left until he could go to Elemental Academy with Skylah. Slayzes got out of his bed and went to go see if Skylah was up yet. Slayzes opened the door and found Cathy and Tim sitting on the couch with Skylah. They were drinking tea.
"Morning, Slayzes." Skylah said plainly. She sipped her tea from her mug and continued staring down at the ground.
"Morning, Skylah. Morning Cathy, Dad."
"You only have one week left until you go to the Academy," said his step-mother, trying to make Skylah feel better.
"Yeah, I know. Skylah?"
"Yes?"
"Wanna go for a walk?"
"I guess. Thank you for the tea, Mr and Mrs Taruga."
"No problem!" Replied Slayzes's parents in unison.
Slayzes took a shower and brushed his teeth before he and Skylah walked downstairs and exited the house. They started walking towards the hills. "You like going on top that hill right? Just rolling down it, or sitting there staring at the view of the town?" Slayzes asked.
"Yeah, it helps me think straight," Skylah answered.
"Skylah ... I fear for our relationship," Slayzes told her honestly.
"What do you mean? Is it because of what happened to me a few weeks ago?" she asked nervously.
Slayzes nodded his head. "Skylah, I miss your cute smile, and your cheerful self. My parents paid for us to go to the academy, it costed a lot but they helped you out. I am taking you to this hill for a reason."
"What reason is that?"
"To make you laugh again ..." Slayzes said as he looked into Skylah's eyes. "So let's head for that hill okay?"
"Thank you, Slayzes. You're the best boyfriend I could ask for," Skylah said.

Drake walked back and forth from one side on the room in the cave from another. "Where is Xavi? She should of been here by now!" Drake growled.
"You know what she is like, Drake," Aalto started, "Xavi is usually late for most things. I remember when I was fourteen, we were having a sleepover, she was two hours late. She will always be like that, sadly. But there's nothing we can do about it."
"I'm sorry I'm late, Drake! I saw the girl and the boy! The boy I like and the girl you like!"
"What? Really? That is great news!" Drake exclaimed.
"Yeah and that isn't the best part! I found out they're names! And they're age!"
"OK, Xavi that is really creepy." Aalto commented.
"Good work Xavi! Now, let's go through the plan I made. Aalto!" Drake ignored Aalto's words and pointed straight at the boy with his finger. "You're a fast learner, yes?"
"Yes," he answered
"Good, you will learn how Slayzes writes, and then you will make a note to Skylah saying come to a classroom. That is where you come in, Xavi. You must trap Slayzes in the class with you, when Aalto gives you a heads up, you will kiss Slayzes! Right in front of Skylah. Then Skylah will be so upset, she will be devastated with Slayzes that she will need an ear to cry into. That ear is my ear!"
