Hello readers! I have noticed that the roles of Aalto, Bailey, Emily and Lucy have been shortened a lot! I have mainly been focusing on four characters. These characters are Slayzes, Drake, (who didn't speak at all in the last chapter, making it the second time he hasn't received dialogue throughout the book) Riley and Skylah. I will try my best to make sure these other characters receive some time in the next few chapters.
Another message: I will be editing this book when finished. Many of you may not be saying Slayzes correctly and that is my fault. His name is pronounced Slay-ze and I have noticed I put 'Slayzes'' not 'Slayzes's'. I will fix these completely when this book is over. With that settled, I hope you enjoy!
Slayzes, tired and filthy woke up the next morning to find that he was still in the well. So it wasn't a dream, he really was stuck down here with Riley. No sign of help, nobody knew where he was with the exception of Xavi who wouldn't dare try and help Slayzes and Riley.
Slayzes looked over at Riley, her body lay on the opposite side of the small room, looking lifeless and just as filthy as Slayzes. Slayzes walked over to her body and poked her, making sure she was still conscious.
"Riley ... are you awake?" Slayzes asked.
"Yes ..." she answered, taking a deep breath in.
"I've been thinking ... can't we just use the water element for water?"
"No ... it won't work. Try it." Slayzes made a sphere of water then tipped it into his mouth, but as soon as it touched his lips, it disappeared. Disappointment rushed into Slayzes as he saw the water disappear from his very own eyes.
Why? Why did Xavi have to be so desperate for Slayzes and why did she have to eliminate Riley? Couldn't she just move on with her life? It had been eight months since she had met him, why wouldn't she give up and let Slayzes be?
Slayzes sat down next to Riley and put his arm around her. Riley tried to shake him off, but Slayzes tightened his grip around her. "You've got to stay warm. You denied it last night, but it's freezing down here." Riley stopped her squirming and leaned on Slayzes shoulder. "We're going to be fine, someone will find us ..." But Slayzes wasn't sure about that; how would anyone find them down here if nobody knew where they were? Xavi would probably be parading around and then carry on with her own business.
The day went on, voices being heard from above, but nobody seemed to be able to hear the voices below when Slayzes and Riley shouted out for help. Water dripped slowly from the soil, there was very little but Slayzes gave it all to Riley, she had been down here longer than he had, and her breathing was becoming very shallow.
Slayzes offered Riley some more water when more dripped down into the well, but she denied it. "You haven't had a drink in ages, I'm good from drinking murky water." Slayzes drank the water and felt a tight knot in his throat loosen up. He spat the dirt out and then went back to cuddling Riley to warm the two of them up.
Evening came slowly, and the cold air filled up the well again. Riley began to make patterns in the puddles on the muddy floor while Slayzes tried searching for Riley's necklace secretly. He couldn't find it and gave up hours later. He sat down next to Riley, kissed her head, and tried to fall asleep.

Drake and Bailey woke up the next morning and found that Slayzes's bed was still empty. They didn't have a clue where he had gone to. They asked Skylah, Lucy and Aalto but none of them knew where the two were. Skylah said that Slayzes went looking for Riley and that was the last time she saw Slayzes. It was the only lead so far and nothing else popped up after that.
Drake, accompanied by Lucy and Aalto were heading to class on the third day of Slayzes and Riley's mysterious disappearance. They discussed possible locations, from the woods nearby the academy, to the Transferglobe in Professor Auburn's office.
