After the first class, Slayzes had Earth next. The same thing happened as it did in the Fire class, except the Earth part changed into the Fire part. They got an introduction with the professor using his abilities, they had to eat an Earth Pellet, everyones throat felt like it was turning into a rock, and then the professor explained about the classes and the year.
Slayzes walked out of the building where he met Professor Grudo. The sky had turned into a snow white scene. Clouds filled the sky, leaving only a little bit of blue patches above.
Xavi had Water after Fire, so she wasn't around. But Emily and Aalto were in earth class with Slayzes. Aalto and Emily could tell something was up with Slayzes. He was depressed, and was moping around.
"Slayzes!" Emily called out. "Wait up!"
Slayzes stopped in his tracks. "Something the matter?"
"No! Aren't we friends?"
Slayzes shook his head quickly to snap out of his daze. "Sorry, yeah. I was just thinking about something. Want to have lunch together?"
"Only if you tell me what's going on with you. I can tell something is up, you have that look on your face," Emily tapped her nose and winked.
"I don't want to talk about it. Actually, I already made lunch plans, but I'll see you later. OK?"
"Oh, OK."
Slayzes started to run off towards the lunch area he and Xavi planned to eat at. Dashing as fast he could, Slayzes reached the lunch area in two minutes instead of five.
Xavi was already there sitting under a tree, reading through a textbook. Slayzes stopped running, his breath was about to run out anyway. Xavi turned around, she could hear a few pants from Slayzes.
"Slayzes!" Xavi exclaimed. "I thought you wouldn't show, or that you forgot where to go."
"Class just finished," Slayzes stated, reviving his breath.
"Yeah, ten minutes ago," Xavi replied.
"Really?"
"Yup."
Slayzes thought class had just finished, but he had bigger things on his mind. "Xavi, you said Skylah slept with Drake a few days ago? I want you to tell me everything!"
"O–OK!" Xavi let out a sigh from her lips. Preparing her long talk about what she knew. "A few day ago, Drake told me that Skylah rocked up on his door and kissed him," Xavi took another breath, then let it out. "He said that Skylah said she was willing to do it with him, but only if he left you alone. Drake said it wasn't short, or bad, it was the real thing! He then rocked up at my doorstep and told me what I am telling you. He even said Skylah complimented him on his body. I guess that is it," Xavi scratched her head, waiting for Slayzes to respond.
"I can't ... believe this. She cheated on me with ... Drake ..." Slayzes started to feel dizzy.
I think I should leave you alone," Xavi stood up from where she was sitting. Picking up her text book, she then walked off.
Slayzes sat there for minutes, thinking about what he was just told. Maybe Xavi is just lying to me, she did, and still might have a crush on me. Slayzes kicked the tree he was standing under.
"Slayzes?" A voice asked, sounding concerned. Slayzes turned his head around to find Lucy and Bailey. They both gave him a concerned look.
"What're you doing? All by yourself? We were looking for you everywhere," Lucy spoke, her voice softer than usual.
"Just ... leave me alone. I need time to myself. Bailey, you should know why."
"Why?" Lucy whispered to Bailey.
"I will tell you in a minute. Let's leave Slayzes first," he whispered back.
The two left Slayzes alone. Leaving him in shame and depression. A tear appeared from the corner of Slayzes's eyes. Many more appeared, falling down from his eyes, his cheeks and onto his uniform.

Lucy and Bailey sat down at some benches where a few other kids were sitting at. Lucy looked over at the path she and Bailey just came from.
"So what happened with, Slayzes?" Lucy asked, straightening her hair.
"Slayzes was dumped by Skylah. It happened this morning."
Lucy gasped from the top her lungs. "Why? How?"
"I don't exactly know why, but she did it for my roommate, Drake."
"My brother?" Lucy asked once again, but this time, in shock.
"Your Drake's sister?"
"Twin sister," she corrected him.
"Anyway, we know it was for Drake because as soon as Slayzes was dumped, Skylah and Drake shared a kiss."
"Are you joking! Because a day before we had to get on the train Drake was talking to himself saying stuff about how good this thing was."
"Really? I hate to do this but ... we need to tell Aalto."
"You know Aalto? Aalto Cress?" Lucy asked in surprise. Bailey nodded his head, making Lucy feel relieved she wasn't talking about a different Aalto.
"He is my cousin after all."
Lucy looked around the area. Scanning the area, and how many people were in it. She leaned in closer to Bailey and lowered her voice. "Promise you won't tell anyone?" Lucy asked shooting a glare at Bailey.
"I will try and not to tell– What're you doing?" the boy cowered in fear.
Lucy grabbed Bailey by the collar forcing him to come close near he face. "I said promise. Promise?"
"Yeah! I promise! Now let me go!" Bailey pleaded in fear.
"Good!" Lucy lowered her voice once more. "I kind of have a crush on Aalto." Bailey let out a small laugh, causing Lucy to narrow her eyes, making Bailey stop laughing.
"Continue," the boy peeped, his legs shaking beneath the table he was sitting at.
"I love his hair, and he is really smart, and cute. But I feel like he never wants anything to do with me," Lucy dropped her head onto the table. The voice of Aalto running through her ears. "He is so cute," Lucy sighed, imagining her and Aalto together.
"OK, why did you tell me? Couldn't you tell somebody who cares?"
"Because, your his cousin, DUH!"
Just as Bailey was about to reply, the bell was heard ringing. Everybody started to walk off with their friends to their next class.
Lucy and Bailey looked at each other, thinking about the same thing: Slayzes.

Slayzes sat their, his face completely wet from his eyes and under. He had been sitting there for a good half an hour or so.
"Need a friend?" Lucy asked, approaching her friend. "I know it can be tough in this kind of stuff. But you need to move on. So what if Skylah is dating my idiotic brother?"
"We will always be here to help you," Bailey added, approaching Slayzes too.
"Thanks guys, but ... I think I prefer to be alone at the moment," Slayzes stated, wiping the tears away from his face.
"That's too bad," Bailey said in a muffled tone. "The next class starts now. Luckily, you're with us. Air class."
"Let's go together!"
"Thanks."
The two held down one of their arms to help Slayzes up. Slayzes stood up, looking down at the tree, he realised that it was covered in his tears.
"Come on guys, let's go," Slayzes said, walking towards the building where their next class was.
Lucy and Bailey looked at each other, they both slightly nodded. The air around the three became cool and calm, as they approached their next class.
