Slayzes walked out of the Great Hall and took a breath of fresh air. After two full hours of exams, Slayzes could finally take a break. Most people like Bailey and Aalto would never take their lunch as they called it so "stupidly" and would go and study for about thirty minutes. However, Slayzes was spending his time with Riley.
"I'm so glad to be out of there," Riley said, almost yawning.
"That makes two of us," Slayzes said, he placed his arm around Riley and then kissed her cheek.
Slayzes and Riley went for a walk around the academy and then sat down on a bench that was at the gazebo. Every now and then Riley would glance over to her right. Slayzes noticed this after Riley did this for the fourth time and looked over where she was looking. There was the well.
Slayzes quickly stood up and gave Riley his hand. "Come on, I didn't realise how close this place was," Slayzes said. Riley took his hand and they walked away from the gazebo with him. A minute later, they ran into Xavi.
"Oh. Hey Slayzes, hey Rana," she said with a smirk.
"It's Riley," she bursted out a millisecond later. Her face was already turning red and her fists were being tightened.
"Anyway," Xavi continued, ignoring what Riley had just said, "Slayzes I just wanted to say sorry for what happened during the holidays. But he's in a better place." There was an awkward silence and Slayzes felt anger rise within him. "Bye ..." Xavi muttered before she walked off and Slayzes glared at her.
"How the hell did she find out about Dad!" Slayzes barked once she disappeared from his sight. Slayzes was wishing Xavi didn't do that, she should of just kept her business to herself. He would of been much happier.
"Slayzes, let's just ignore it. She probably just heard the news around town. At least she said sorry ..." Slayzes didn't care if she said sorry. Xavi had nearly killed him and Riley and then he realised that she didn't even say sorry for what happened last term.
The bell went a few seconds later. Slayzes and Riley quickly kissed each other then rushed off to their classes. Slayzes caught up with Skylah and Bailey who were both talking to each other. Something about fire being inside an ice covered rock.
"Hi, Slayzes," Bailey greeted after he finished explaining to Skylah about the icy rock with fire. "You look a bit stressed out. Is everything OK? I could give you a quick hand with something before the teacher arrives."
"No thanks, Bailey. I just had a run-in with Xavi," Slayzes replied. He was still feeling a bit angry though. It was like Xavi was still in Slayzes's presence, but she had her class on the other side of the academy grounds. Lucy had the exact same schedule as her.
"Xavi?" Skylah repeated, concerned. "Did she cause any trouble? Is Riley OK? Slayzes? Slayzes!" Slayzes snapped out of his trance of what had just happened. Maybe he was tired, or just distracted. Either way, it was stopping Slayzes from focusing.
"Riley is fine," Slayzes answered.
"And you?" Bailey asked.
"Fine," Slayzes answered again.
Professor Auburn showed up and Slayzes noticed Skylah immediately glared at him. He couldn't really blame her; he was the main reason for her miscarriage. Slayzes was hoping Riley didn't get into trouble with him. He didn't want her having a miscarriage too.
"Good morning, class," Professor Auburn greeted. Nobody replied though.
"Come inside and we will begin to study Fire Leeches." You are freaking joking, Slayzes thought. He had enough of Fire Leeches. He had to clean this room because of them. They were everywhere. "Oh, detention birds! You'll both be doing textbook work since you have already studied these.
