Slayzes opened his eyes, looking above him, he saw a light hanging from the roof made of bricks. He tried to move, but he couldn't, his body would not budge.

"You're awake!" someone's voice exclaimed in excitement. "You have been waking up and falling asleep every few hours," said the voice.

"Skylah?" Slayzes asked, sounding puzzled and confused.

"That's right. I also heard about the fight with Drake," she confessed. "You're in the infirmary, by the way," she added.

"He's awake?" an unknown voice asked.

"Yes," she answered.

Footsteps were heard. They were getting louder, and louder. A body blocked Slayzes' sview of the roof. It was particularly skinny, but tall.

"How does he sound?" the voice asked, placing a hand on his head.

"I don't know, normal?" she answered, shrugging her shoulders.

"How long ... how long have I been here?" Slayzes asked, struggling to see the body covering his view.

"Three days," Skylah replied. "And a half," she added.

Slayzes felt his body tingle. Trying to remember the past few days, it was all such a blur. Instead of forcing his brain to remember, he let it rest.

The mysterious body surrounding Slayzes turned out to be the academy nurse. Lily Proffil.

"He can't move that much, but he will be able to in a few minutes. I need to do some paperwork, so I'll let you both talk alone," the nurse walked off. She walked out of the room Slayzes was in and into a different one.

"Why are you here?" Slayzes asked, trying to move as much as possible, but he couldn't.

"Well, I am the only person closest to you, so I was the only the person allowed to come and stay with you. Besides Bailey."

The memory ran back into Slayzes's mind. It felt like he was being punched a million times all over. His body stung, he may not of been able to move, but pain could still touch him.

"Bailey ... where is he?" Slayzes asked, guilt for leaving Bailey by himself with Drake.

"He went to go study, he will be back later. Listen, Slayzes. I am sorry for what Drake has done to you, and I am sorry for breaking your heart," Skylah stopped when tears started filling her eyes.

Slayzes closed his eyes, somehow he was tired even though he had been asleep minutes ago. It was probably from the pain. Slayzes felt his hand again. Moving it, he put his left hand on Skylah's lap.

"Why can't I see properly?" Slayzes asked, just noticing his left left eye was only seeing a dark patch.

"Drake punched you a lot. He managed to make your left eye go to sleep or something, I don't really know anything." Skylah put her hands on Slayzes's' left hand. "I am still dating Drake."

Slayzes right eye widened in shock. "After all he has ... done?" The pain in his heart returned.

"I'm sorry, Slayzes! I still like him! To be fair, you started the fight."

"How d'you know?"

"Bailey," she answered.

She still has feelings for him? After everything? I guess he is a charm. Slayzes sighed. She knows nothing though.

"Nothing will change your mind?" Slayzes asked in devastation.

"I'm sorry," Skylah apologised, shaking her head before turning her head towards the window.

Slayzes sat up a few minutes later, with his body awake, he was able to do so. Skylah swooped in for a hug, helping her friend, and more importantly, making her ex-boyfriend feel better. A sharp pain rose in Slayzes's body.

They both finished the hug. Their eyes were right in front of each other. Taking the chance he could, Slayzes kissed Skylah out of the blue. Skylah let him, but as soon as the kiss ended she backed away from Slayzes.

"I can't do this again! I like Drake!" Skylah started to panic, running out of the room she was just in, leaving Slayzes alone.

Slayzes let out another sigh as his heart cried. I blew it! She loves Drake, and Drake only. Slayzes laid down on his bed again, his head spinning, he decided to go to sleep again.

Slayzes woke up, his eye adjusting to his surroundings of the room. He sat up again and looked around, it seemed that it was night.

"Hello?" Slayzes called out, looking around.

"I'm here," Bailey answered, frightening Slayzes a tiny bit. Bailey approached Slayzes, he gave him a look of concern. Everybody was doing that lately. "How do you feel?" the boy asked, sitting in the chair Skylah was sitting in a few hours ago.

"I don't know. I feel like a Grimes."

"Who?" Bailey asked.

"Never mind. Has Skylah been here?" Slayzes asked, trying to change the subject.

"Not since you kissed her. She told me. I thought you didn't want her back," Bailey inquired, opening a book that was sitting on a table nearby.

"I didn't, but then she hugged me, and I couldn't resist. Has anyone else been here?"

"Lucy and Aalto came here after their classes were over. We didn't want to wake you up though, so we decided to have a chat."

"What happened to Drake?"

"He went for a run, then returned later when I was studying. He didn't get in trouble due to you starting the fight and because the duel is coming up and us being old enough to look after ourselves and stuff. Typical young adult stuff or something," Bailey quietly explained.

The air was cold, Slayzes pulled the blankets up onto his body. The air wasn't so cold during Summer at this time.

"Bailey, how much blood did I lose?" Slayzes asked, looking at his hands.

"A bit, you blacked out, then you started bleeding. You seem to be asking a lot of questions lately," Bailey pointed out, he opened a window, much to Slayzes's displeasure.

Slayzes moved his body back down on the bed. "Please, don't open that window," he begged, shivering under the sheets.

Bailey ignored his request, opening the window fully. The air was even colder now, but before the air was also stale, unlike now.

"The air is too stale," Bailey stated, opening up a second window in the room.

Bailey walked over to Slayzes. Pulling out a mirror out of his pocket. Bailey put the mirror in front of Slayzes's face, revealing the injuries he had received.

Slayzes examined his face, looking at the cuts, bruises and his eyepatch. He looked like somebody who just had a failure in surgery.

"Do I really look this bad?"

"Drake really knocked the crap outta you." Bailey put the small mirror back in his pocket. Trying to make conversation, he spoke again. "Do you want to know a secret?"

"Does it involve me?"

"No."

"OK then."

Bailey breathed in, listening to the words Lucy told him. "Lucy has a crush on Aalto ..."

"I know that. You can see it," Slayzes chuckled. Bailey gave a fake smile, not knowing what to reply with. Slayzes then had a idea in his head, and he thought it was a brilliant idea at that. "Want to try and set them up?" He asked, grinning evilly.

"As long as Lucy doesn't know, she would kill me!" Bailey exclaimed, forcing his eyes to bulge up, it made it look like his eyes were about explode.

"Trust me, she won't know. As soon as I am able to get out of here, we can set them up."

"But first you need to have surgery on your eye," Bailey revealed.

"Wait, what?"
