Jayy's POV
No matter how much I tried not to panic, the fear was setting in. "What the hell do I do?" I asked, leaning my face into my hands and running them through my hair.
"We gotta find her Jayy."
"Yeah, I've got that, but how?"
Aussie sighed. "I don't know Jayy. However we can. But we have to do something, and fast. The tour starts in a week."
"I know, I know... But it's not like we can just go to her house and get her Aus."
"Yeah, I know. So what're we gonna do?"
"I asked you that."
"Well I assume you don't wanna call the police."
"I would if it weren't for that creep that was with her in the fucking alley when she got hurt, I would. But I don't trust him and I don't trust him being near Hunter at all after that, let alone when it means life or death."
"Understandable, but I don't see what we can do without the cops Jayy."
It was my turn to sigh now. "Look, I know it complicates things, but I just want her safe, no variables."
"Like I said, I understand that and I'm not saying you're wrong; I'm just saying I don't know what to do without them. Maybe you should talk to Dahvie, he might have an idea for you that I can't think of."
"Maybe..." I thought for a minute, then decided it couldn't hurt. Even if Dahvie didn't have any ideas, I could at least vent to him. "I'll talk to him, you wanna come?"
He shook his head. "I'm gonna go for a drive, see if she's just out for a walk or something and doesn't know about the heart attacks we're experiencing."
"Fingers crossed," I said quietly.
"Mine too." I nodded without looking at him and Aussie rested his hands on either of my shoulders. "Try to take it easy."
"Yeah right," I muttered, my eyes still averted to the floor.
"Jayy, look at me. We don't know anything for sure yet."
"Maybe you don't."
"No, I don't, but neither do you. Go talk to Dahv Jayy, and try to relax while you're at it. Please."
I shook my head sadly. “I’ll try Aussie. I can’t promise more than that.”
“I can’t ask for more than that. And I won’t. Now go on, please. I want her back as quickly as possible and I know you do too; feeling bad for ourselves isn’t going to make that happen.”
“Yeah, you’re right.” I got up and went to Dahv’s room, only a little mad that Aussie was so smart. I knocked and almost fell to my knees when the door opened.
Dahvie stood, tears running his blotchy cheeks, but that wasn’t what got me. He put a finger to his lips.“I understand Ronnie.”
