Dahvie returned and I sat straight up, jumping out of Jayy's lap. He laughed. "What were you two doing in my car?" he teased.
"N-Nothing."
Jayy shook his head disappointedly, but laughed. "If you don't want him to doubt that, don't jump out of my lap." He looked at me questioningly for half a second and I nodded. "We said I love you, that's all. She was in my lap because her legs'll bleed more if they're bent. It was the only way for her to stretch out."
"Wait..." Dahvie said. "Backtrack... You guys said 'I love you'?"
I nodded. "Yeah..." I mumbled softly, still embarrassed from what he thought I was doing in Jayy's lap.
"So then, I'm assuming you figured out J's, Jason J that is, message?"
"Yeah... Do you think we're right about it?"
Dahvie sighed. "He sent me a text before you." He pulled out his phone and read it. (It will be spelled correctly because Dahvie is reading it out loud)
'If I don't finish Hunter's text, tell her I love her. She'll explain, I'll make sure I at least send her that much. Please Dahvie, make sure she gets with Jayy, ASAP. She doesn't deserve to go through this alone. Don't let her feel guilty, I love her, and they love each other. There's no reason why she shouldn't get the love from him since I no longer will be able to.'
"He wanted you guys together," Dahvie said softly. His eyes dropped down. "I'm glad you're with Jayy, but..." He looked up. "Please don't hurt him again, okay? Especially not after you've said that. He... Well he wasn't doing good things to himself when you were gone. He wasn't okay." He swallowed hard.
Jayy sighed and looked down, rubbing the back of his neck. "I um...I cut. Quite a bit."
"That's why you've been wearing a shirt so much." I said softly.
Jayy laughed. "Yeah."
Dahvie wore a weak smile. "It was fate that I finally got him to leave exactly when you were working and where you were. He wouldn't have been okay without you. Th-Thank you..." he mumbled, tears beginning to pool up.
"Hey, Dahvie, I'm here, alright? She's back and I'm alive and well. Sarcastic and obscene as ever."
"I know..."
"Then c'mon. No need to worry about it. Want me to drive so we can talk about this at home, or you wanna chill here?"
"I can drive." Dahvie wiped his eyes, smiling.
"You sure?"
"Yeah."
When we got in, Jayy carried me to his room. "Mind waiting here? I'd like to talk to him, help him relax a bit."
"No problem." He walked out and I curled up as best I could in my blanket, breathing in Jayy's scent on it and his pillow and, despite everything, feeling safe.

This is a bit of a filler chapter, but it also shows that Jayy still cares about his best friend and that he knows his entire life doesn't revolve around Hunter, as well as him acknowledging that that's how it's been and Dahvie really hasn't seen much of Jayy being happy unless Hunter was around since the first glimpses of rough seas in his relationship with her.
