Dahvie and Aussie were immediately behind Jayy and I stood between him and J.

"J."

"What?" they both asked.

I sighed. "Jason, I suppose. But he's J, the letter. And right now you're Jayy, the jerk. It's obvious I know him."

"And who gave you permission to give out our address?"

"Dahvie did."

"And I asked you first Jayy," Dahvie said calmly. "What if something happens to her and we're not here?"

A look of recognition registered in Jayy's eyes. "How do we know he won't be the one to hurt her?"

"How do we know you won't Jayy?" I challenged, fire in my eyes.

"Hunter..." J whispered.

"What's up J?" I asked, dropping the glare and tone in my voice.

"It's okay... I can go."

"Fuck that J," I said with a smile. "You didn't do anything."

"Go ahead Hunter, we'll get him under control," Aussie said calmly. "We've got Adrian if we need him." He chuckled at my look of confusion. "Our bodyguard."

"Right, God I feel like an ass for not learning his name."

"No worries," Dahvie said with a laugh. "But Aussie's right. And I'm really sorry about this Jason, er J, sorry."

"Not a problem." J's voice shook like hell.

"C'mon J. Don't worry about him."

"Doing my best," he said softly.

Dahvie's POV

The second that they were out of the driveway, I turned to Jayy. "What was that?"

"I-..." He swallowed. "I didn't know who he was. I've never seen him before."

"He said you pick her up every day. How would he know that if he never met you, and how would he know you could kick his ass? And even if you haven't met him, that's no excuse!"

"Look, she's mad enough. Leave me alone."

"No Jayy."

"Why not?!"

"Because I don't need to have you killing the kid when they come home or when you see him on Monday."

"I won't, okay? Now leave me alone, alright?"

"Jayy..." Aussie said with a sigh. "I think I know what this is about. And I warned you Dahvie."

I sighed as well and said what everyone was thinking. "I never thought she'd get with anyone else."

"Well, she did," Jayy said, irritated, but obviously hurt. "So let me go deal with that on my own."

"A-...Alright Jayy. Go chill." Jayy went to his room and I looked hopelessly at Aussie. "I'm so sorry. You were right, okay?"

"I didn't want to be," he admitted. "I was really hoping they'd work it out, however that was gonna happen. I never would've thought she'd actually move on from him. The only thing that could've surprised me more-"

"-If Jayy'd gotten with someone else," I finished for him.

Hunter's POV (Sorry, I know this is like the 3rd POV this chapter)

After getting over the shit with Jayy, J and I had a great night (A/N: Be thankful you guys are reading this, it's damn confusing in my head, even though I obviously know which Jayy/J I mean XD)

We went and ate actual non-candy non-buttery food afterwards and J had me in tge driveway by 9:45. In the house, however...

It's not what you think. J was really nervous and, to be honest, so was I. He didn't want to seem like an ass, no matter how much I told him he wouldn't, by just dropping me off, but we both worried about him coming to the door.

Eventually, J sighed. "Ya know what? Screw it. I'm not the toughest guy in the world, but I'm not gonna hide out here behind the girl I'm dating either. Don't get me wrong, I'm not obsessed with masculinity or anything, I don't 'mind' you protecting me, but I'm not gonna cower in the car and not treat you right for fear of some guy with a crush on you."

"What crush on me?"

He laughed. "Are you blind Hunter? That's why he hates me so much. You get all dressed up and all if a sudden some guy shows up? It's not hard to figure out where it's going."

"Well yeah but..." I sighed. "I don't know."

"Why else would he be so mad about you going on a date?"

"I just figured he was worried because you knew where I was what with the whole Ronnie thing."

He smiled. "Benefit of the doubt. Still, I think he likes you... a lot," he said looking away from me and out his window. "If you didn't know and you like him... I understand."

I sighed. "Now don't be like that." I nervously leaned over and pecked J. "I'm not just dumping you like that." If I was honest, I preferred J to Jayy. J was more playful and sweet, and while that could've been easily chalked up to The Danny Incident and I didn't hold it against him in any way, there was no guarantee that it would be better now, especially with all the tension that had come between us as of late. Jayy was more risky and, brave and hardened as I was, knowing as I did that that was no way to decide, I still chose the guy that wasn't difficult to get along with.

He looked surprised at the kiss and his cheeks burned scarlet. He smiled shyly and got out, opening by door for me. With new confidence, J walked me to the door and placed a sweet peck on my lips. "So there'll be a second date?"

"Of course," I said happily.

"Then you have my number. As always, don't be scared to use it."

"You either."

"Never am angel."

"I am so not an angel."

"Yeah you are."

"Not compared to you."

"You have no idea," he teased with a laugh. "But you live with a group of single, twenty-something year old horny guys. You must be an angel."

"Or a slut," I pointed out.

"I think not." J laughed.

"Me neither, but it's true."

"Yeah," he agreed. He gently kissed me again, longer than last time and lingering close for a few seconds afterwards. "See you Monday?"

"Definitely. Text me soon?"

"Can do."

We pecked again as Dahvie playfully flicked the porch lights. I laughed. "Now 'he's' kidding."

"I know."

I opened the door, still smiling. "Dahvie," I warned.

"Yeah?" he asked innocently. I smiled wider and hugged J, my arms around the back of his neck. "Aww, look at you guys."

J smiled for just a second, then looked down. "I should get going though."

"Alright." I let him go. "Bye J."

"Bye angel."

I closed the door behind him flopped on the couch with the biggest smile on my face.

"Good night?" Jayy asked appearing from nowhere and obviously, at least it was obvious in my eyes, that he was just making an effort for me.

"Yeah."

"I'm really sorry," he said, looking guiltily at the ground. "I'm glad I didn't ruin your... date," he forced out.

"He thinks you like me."

"Yeah? Guess he's smart then."
