"Princess!" Vincent's voice rang out.
You froze and Techno grabbed his dagger, ready to kill him.
Vincent turned the corner, he didn't look up from a small paper that he was reading. He walked right past Techno, not seeing him.
"Prince Will will be arriving tomorrow." He spoke, looking up at me.
His eyes widened, noticing the tired state you were in. Your white shirt was ripped, your cheek was bleeding, and you were sweating.
"GUA-" He attempted to scream, but Techno had thrown his hand over Vincent's mouth and had his blade to his neck. Techno looked up to you, but you didn't move.
And then, you had yet another idea.
"I must collect a few items from my chambers. Come with me- and bring him. I have a pleasant surprise for both of us."
Despite a few grumbles of protest, Techno stalked behind you on the way to your room. You didn't entirely trust the man, but as of that moment, the worst that could happen was the death of Vincent. And that didn't seem too bad.
Stopping for a second to throw open your door, you held it open. You nodded at the entrance, telling the tall man to go inside of your room. He did so, cautiously.
"So, Vincent." You said as you closed the door behind you and stepped over towards your wardrobe.
"May I ask why you thought it would be a good idea to invite the Prince without coming to me first," You turned towards him, an amused look sitting on your face, "You can speak, don't worry. He won't kill you."
Techno opened his mouth but you cut him off,
"Unless he sees fit, of course." You mused, turning back to throw open the door.
Technoblade went back to silence, satisfied. You knew that you were partially helpless in this situation, but so was he. Any second now you could press a button that sat at the back of your wardrobe and it would alert the guards. But you had no reason to call for them quite yet.
You turned back to the closet and began to look for any type of thick clothes you could find, as it was the winter. And if it wasn't winter would come around eventually.
"Princess-"
You spun around on your heel, "Don't call me princess." You hissed.
"L/N, you need..." He trailed off, swallowing hard and looking down at the blade at his throat, "I thought you would enjoy his company."
"Check your place, Vincent." You said, turning back around to dig through your closet again. You collected some shirts in a pile on the ground, "You are nothing to me. You're worthless, replaceable. I don't need you."
The advisor didn't respond.
As you gathered more cloth you continued to speak, "If you think I need something you come to me first."
Techno sighed impatiently.
"Calm down, I'm nearly finished. Don't you want to take this as an opportunity to gather supplies?"
"I have enough supplies as it is."
"Do you, now? You look like you haven't changed out of that nasty suit in weeks."
"How I look doesn't matter."
"When was the last time you washed those clothes?"
He fell silent.
"Exactly," You sighed, "Put these on once you can."
You tossed a white button-up shirt back to him, followed by some black pants and a red overcoat. The coat was practically the same as your cape, just more regal and it was usually used to combat the cold. In style, of course.
They all fell to the floor by Vincent's leg.
"And what should I do with him?"
You took the rapier from the top of your wardrobe and pried the wooden button off of the back of the closet. If he were to try to press it, he would be electrocuted.
"Put him in here," You said, putting down the sword and button next to the wooden closet.
Technoblade trudged forward, nudging Vincent along the way. Techno shoved him into the wardrobe and you closed it, sliding the lock closed. You immediately heard a bang from inside of the wardrobe.
"Watch it, fuckass." You hissed.
Technoblade chuckled at the name behind you.
"You should change." You said, still facing the wardrobe.
You heard a sigh and some shuffling behind you, "Fine, just... don't turn around."
"Wasn't planning on it."
You both sat in silence (well, besides the shuffling of clothes) for a bit before Technoblade finally told you that he was done. You turned around and looked him up and down.
"No, no. That won't do. You need the coat."
"And why is that?"
You picked the red cloth off of the ground next to him, "If you're seen outdoors with me we can't say that I left with a fugitive. If anyone asks," You paused, slipping the coat over his shoulders and tying it around his neck, "You are my fiance."
