You decided that, if he was going to go to bed, you would too. Why waste your time thinking about him when you could get some much needed rest?

------------------------------------------------------------------

The next morning, you were woken up by chatter outside of your room. You weren't sure if you wanted to go out and join them or not, considering you were still a little baffled by Techno's sudden disregard for you potential friendship. But you knew that it would be in your best interest to know what was going on.

Begrudgingly, you stood on your still shaky legs and entered the parlor.

The only two people still in there were Phil and Techno, seemingly prepping to leave.

"Have you decided on a place yet?" You asked

"Zevia." Phil responded.

"What? Isn't that underwater?"

"Not all of it. There's just enough land to figure out what exactly happened to Sally and attend her funeral."

"Sally's merfolk?"

"Yes. That's why she chose the pirate's life. Now, take your bag and get changed. Techno brought it down for you."

And it was true. Your bag was propped up against the side of the couch, just waiting for you to notice it.

"Oh, well thank you."

Technoblade just nodded.

Once changed, you were ushered out of the building and directed towards the docks. The smell of brine quickly invaded your nose, and the shouts of sailors did the same with your ears. Techno held you by your arm as he lead you through the swarms off people, down a path with the rest of the group. You caught the eyes of a few sneering sailors (most likely pirates) as they walked past, headed to the shops, with treasures of their own.

You even saw a group of pirates transporting a few people. You felt bile rise in your throat as they walked past, but Techno quickly tugged you along. After a little while of quick, precise walking Techno halted, pushing you to a stop as well. Infront of you both was a large boat, which you could see Wilbur and Fundy board immediately.

"You ever been at sea before?" Techno asked, turning to you.

"Nope... is that a bad thing?"

He whistled.

"This is going to be miserable for you."

Before you could respond, he pulled you into the boat with him. He kept hold of your arm all the way up to the deck. After releasing you, he walked over to Phil and began talking to him about who knows what. You peered over the side of the deck, staring down at the people on the docs.

You watched people move around each other, somehow managing to avoid bumping into each other in the fray of the crowd. Many of the people were unmistakenly pirates, with ripped, dirty clothes, missing limbs, and much more. You even spotted a few merfolk just off shore.  And, if your eyes weren't deceiving you... there were some on shore, too.

Their scales glittered in the sunlight, and their eyes were brilliant colors that no human would ever have. They were, in all honesty, gorgeous. You couldn't blame Will for falling for one. They seemed to be just as strong (if not stronger) than the human pirates, as well.

You felt the board shift under you as a few of the crew members began shouting things at each other. It was evident that the boat was beginning to move, and you gripped the railing. You could feel anxiety pooling in the pit of your stomach as you thought about the journey ahead of you.

"You look worried," Techno spoke suddenly, causing you to jump a little.

"Where- where the hell did you come from?" You gasped, putting your hand to your chest to ground yourself.

"Over there," he pointed into the distance, presumably where him and Phil were standing.

"I... ok. And, yes- I guess I'm a bit worried," you sighed, leaning back onto the railing, "Before you showed up I'd never even left the kingdom before. I'm just... not sure what to expect."

"Don't worry too much, princess," he chuckled, "It won't be all that bad. As long as you don't get sea sick."

Not thirty minutes later you found yourself below deck in you hammock, cradling your knees to your chest as you attempted to ease your suffering. Will rubbed your back supportively. He donned a pitiful smile.

"Don't worry, Y/N," he sighed, "I was sick as a dog my first time around, too. It should go away after a little... hopefully."

You mustered up the strength for a low groan. He just shook his head and chuckled.

"It'll be ok."

His hand left your back as he stepped away.

"I'll go see if Fundy has anything for seasickness, yeah?" he sighed, "I'll be right back."

You could hear his footsteps grow distant, and a whole new wave of nausea hit you like a truck. You groaned again, tightening your grip on your legs. You weren't sure how much time passed before Will returned.

"Ta-da!" he said cheerfully, "Here! This'll make you all better!"

You felt cold glass tap your arm. You took hold of the bottle quickly, not even viewing the contents before drinking it all greedily. It was smooth with a bitter-sweet taste. Will let out a little whistle as he watched you down the red liquid.

You began feeling better instantly, which earned a grateful sigh from your chapped lips.

"When you feel that wearing of find Fundy, ok? He'll brew you up another."

"He brought his station?" you questioned, placing the bottle in Will's outstretched hand.

"A good alchemist always has a brewery," he shrugged, slipping it into his satchel, "In one way or another."

"I don't think I want to know what else he would use for a brewery," you chuckled.

"Yeah... I try not to think about it. Aye- the crew's gonna have a meal ready any minute now. Want me to come down and let you know when it's done?"

"Yeah, that would be nice. Thanks, Will."

"Anytime."

He nodded and was off to do who knows what. You laid back in your hammock, another content sigh slipping through your now surprisingly smooth lips. You felt sleep tug at your tired eyes and chose to give into it- just until the food was ready, of course.
