And then the reality of the situation dawned on you.

You were escaping the only place you've ever called home for twenty years with someone you had known for a few hours. For all you know this was some demented stranger that had stumbled into your throne room, intent to kill, who was pretending to be Technoblade.

But, you could defend yourself. Hopefully, this really was Technoblade.

He could also be leading you away to kill you, now that you thought about it. There was a high chance that you just completely, royaly, fucked yourself. You would just have to pray to Dream XD that he was telling the truth.

"So, what do you want me to call you?"

"Ah. Well- hm," You paused, licking the inside of your bottom lip as you thought.

"I could just call you L/N."

"What about my first name?"

"I've never really cared enough to figure it out. But I wouldn't mind learning it."

"It's Y/N."

"Y/N, got it."

"And what about you?"

"Technoblade's fine."

"Okayy."

Bird song and the crunch of leaves were the only noises as you walked, a dead yet comfortable silence resting between you two. Though, after a certain distance, Technoblade began to hum quietly. Not to a tune you could recognize, but one that you could see sticking with you. One that was surprisingly catchy.

Soon enough you came across a small clearing, him stopping and you taking a few steps forward before realizing. Quickly, you scurried back.

"Sorry..."

He didn't answer.

In the distance you could hear a horse whinnying, a normally comforting sound that now brought you nothing but panic.

"Carl!" Technoblade called out, a smile on his scared and chapped lips.

A horse sprinted from the opposite treeline, heading straight for you two. A worn-out saddle was strapped to it's back, and once it got closer, something that looked like a slip of paper was attached to it.

He stopped directly in front of you two, looking at Technoblade and shaking his head slightly.

Technoblade reached over to grab the paper, Carl happily obliged and turned to grant him easier access. He flipped the paper over in his hands a few times before unfolding it. You could see the wheels turning in his mind as his eyes scanned over it.

"We need to meet him in the back garden, from there he'll lead us to the cellar. That's where we'll meet everyone else, and explain our situation."

"Right, ok. But- the Soot Kingdom is days away on horse."

"No, no. It's days away on the average horse. Carl, however..."

"What do you mean by that...?"
