You picked the red cloth off of the ground next to him, "If you're seen outdoors with me we can't say that I left with a fugitive. If anyone asks," You paused, slipping the coat over his shoulders and tying it around his neck, "You are my fiance."
You looked back up at his face, your noses were nearly touching.
"And what about the lack of a crown?"
"Oh, right." You paused to look him up and down again. He looked nice.
You didn't blush easily, but you could feel your face heat up the slightest bit. Granted, your entire body was warm and you were already nervous from preparing to run away from the only place you've called home for 20 years, but it was still out of the ordinary for your face to be heating up on its own.
You took a step back from him and looked around your room, your eyes landing on an old picture of your father, and then slowly drifting up to the crown that sat on his head. It was still in the throne room.
"Stay here, I will return. I'll be alone, I can promise you that." You said as you exited the room.
You sighed, smoothing out your cut up shirt. Speed walking over to your cape, you threw it over your shoulders and wrapped it around yourself to hide the scrapes that covered your torso. You quickly walked up the stairs and reached for the pedestal that your late father's crown sat on.
"Your Highness?" A voice spoke up from behind you. You turned quickly and stared down at the person who had called for your attention. It was Sir Eret and Manifold.
"Hello," You greeted them quickly and quietly with a small bow of your head, "What do you need?"
"Earlier Vincent had come in here to inform you that Prince William was to arrive tomorrow day, he hasn't returned so we were a bit worried that you hadn't received his message." Sir Manifold- or Jack, as he requested you called him, spoke up.
"Ah, yes, Vincent told me. He left not too long ago, actually. I believe he was on his way to his study. If you hurry, you may be able to catch him."
"Thank you, Y/N." Sir Eret said, and he and Manifold- Jack. He and Jack walked off. Not before giving you a small farewell. You were going to miss those two. You believed you were going to miss Sir Eret and Dame Minx the most, though.
You took the glass off of the pedestal and gently placed it on your throne. You quickly took the crown and slipped it into the side of your cape. You put the glass back where it was and began down the stairs, sweeping up your crown as you walked. You placed the silver on your head and continued to your room.

Techno sat on the bed, his thoughts running wild. Well, in a predictable way.
Blood for the blood god
Kill him
Kill them
Run
Kill them all
The usual jazz. Per usual, he had been slipping in and out of his own self-control, but he was doing his best to keep himself in check and ignore the voices. The voices had left him alone for a while, but as soon as his dagger had been placed over the Princess's neck they had been louder than ever. More difficult to keep control of. Of course, it had never been easy, but now... now that he was deliberately trying to go against them they had gotten strong.
He looked around, creaking and bumping noises occasionally coming from the oak wardrobe. He turned around and looked out of the window, taking in the view. Dead leaves sat on the ground and branches swayed in the wind. The sun was so high in the sky that he couldn't see it, so he assumed that it was about noon.
The door creaked open and he turned back around and jumped into a fighting position.
"Calm down, it's just me," Y/N said, sighing and putting a hand in the air. She used the other one to pull out the crown and hand it to him.
-----------------------back in your perspective-------------------------
"We're going to have to go soon," You said, watching him put the crown on his head.
"Yeah, I noticed."
"How far is your home from here?" You asked.
"Far."
"Do you know how far?"
"My home, actual home, is hours away. Where I've been staying? We could get an escort."
"When and where?"
"We could go in the forest behind the castle, the carriage would probably arrive there if I asked."
"The what?"
"The carriage. Horse-drawn. Phil has always sent it after me when I ask for a place to stay."
"Phil?"
He looked up at me from the spot on the floor that he was looking at before with a smirk clear on his face;
"Phil, or as you know him, Late King Philza of L'manburg."
