Right! Techno is a smart man, he wants what's best for himself. He prioritizes his well being over others- as far as you knew, atleast. You could never truly know someone that well, but you could guess and were usually right. Nobody's always right, but usually you were. About this kind of stuff, at least.

Psychology was your strong suit until Vincent locked your books and demanded that you began to research something 'useful, like proper etiquette' or something like that. Almost every word that man has said to you has been in one ear and out the other.

Almost.

"You've been staring at the sun for a concernin' amount of time." Techno chimed, waving his hand in front of your face.

"Ah. Right. Food," You shook your head, "Sorry."

"Don't worry about it. Not a super big deal, it's just rabbit. Easy to cook but hard to catch. And you're the one who caught it, so you choose what piece you want."

"Whatever piece looks the least like a rabbit."

"Ah, right. First kill. Never fun."

Technoblade wandered back over to the fire and took the rabbit from the piece of wood he had it resting on. He reached for the knife and went to dig into it.

You turned around and faced the pond. From what you could see the water was still, undisturbed. As if it hadn't been touched in ages. It was beautiful. A nice clearing next to a lake with some clean crystal water, what else could you ask for?

While you didn't like killing animals, this was better than back home. You could actually do what you wanted now that you were out in the world. Well, most of what you wanted. But that was okay- it was more than you could do back at the kingdom with Vincent and the guards up your ass all the time.

Of course you loved your guards, they actually wanted you to be safe, but them following you everywhere got really annoying.

But now you were free, and being free meant being self-dependent, so you'd have to get used to it. For now, however, you'd take as much hel[p as you could get. There's no way you could do this alone, not yet at least. And that was okay- everyone needed help every now and again. That's just how it goes.

But Dream XD did you hate asking for help.

You were a queen, you weren't supposed to ask for help. You were supposed to suck it up and power through it. You never had the choice to genuinely rely on someone. When it comes to monarchy, no one was to be trusted. Every single person that came into your life was to be picked apart and thrown out, deemed untrustworthy or generally corrupt. No one actually wanted to help you. Nobody actually cared. So as easy as it sounded, letting Technoblade teach you was going to be extremely difficult.

But it was needed for survival, so per usual you'd have to trudge through the difficulty. Just, this time, with something completely different than usual. Though, it was a bit too late to think about the consequences of leaving, now wasn't it?
