Yaz's POV

The Doctor had been different ever since the events of their most recent adventure. Yaz had tried talking to her, both about what had happened and also some lighter things.

"Right, I don't know how to make the Doctor better," Yaz announced one morning as Graham and Ryan sat eating breakfast. "Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated."

Yaz sat down at the breakfast bar, laying her head on her crossed arms, looking over at the boys who sat on the wooden table.

Graham put down his toast, "Maybe we could watch a movie? Have a full movie night with popcorn, sweets, soft drink."

"Sounds perfect!" Yaz smiled. "But what's the Doctor's favourite movie?"

Graham shrugged.

"Right," said Yaz. "I'm off to look at the Doctor's Netflix list."

Yaz loaded Netflix up on her laptop, clicking on the Doctor's profile. She scrolled through to find her list, which, unsurprisingly, had a surplus of about fifty movies and tv shows.

"But which one is her favourite?" Yaz wondered, scrolling through the many, many movies. Yaz tried to think, everything she knew about the Doctor flooding her brain.

A movie... a movie that the Doctor loves...

The whole fam had played a part in preparing an amazing night. Graham prepared the popcorn and drinks, Ryan focused on the technical stuff and setting up the home cinema while Yaz did the hardest thing – getting the Doctor out of her room.

"Doctor?" Yaz asked, knocking on the wooden door of the Doctor's room. The door was painted like a galaxy, completely perfect for the Doctor.

There was no response so Yaz knocked again. When she again got no response, she sighed and entered.

What greeted her was a mess. Clothes were strewn about the place and empty coffee cups and packets of custard cremes were littered everywhere.

The Doctor was there, huddled on her bed with a blanket pulled around her, eyes weary and sad. Yaz's heart broke to see the Doctor in this state.

"Doctor?" Yaz asked, wading through the mess on the floor and sitting down beside her.

"What is it Yaz?" the Doctor asked, voice broken and husky. "No, we're not going on another adventure. And I'm not explaining what happened."

"Hey, it's okay. I wasn't going to ask about any of that. But we're gonna watch a movie – Graham, Ryan, and I. Do you want to come? We've got popcorn."

The Doctor shook her head, still staring out across the room, her attention clearly on something else, probably in her head.

Yaz sighed, "Doctor, you've been like this for two weeks. You need to at least have a shower or something."

"Fine," the Doctor said, picking herself up and trudging towards the ensuite.

"Are you going to watch the movie?" asked Yaz as she disappeared, her normal clothes in hand.

"Maybe..."

Then the door closed and Yaz heard the sound of water falling onto the tiled floor. Yaz sighed and leant against the blue-painted wall.

She was worried about the Doctor. She hadn't been like this ever, even when all of the stuff with the Master happened. For the past two weeks, she had locked herself in her room and refused to come out, except to grab food and coffee.

Yaz took a look around the trashed room and decided to clean up. It was the least she could do to help the Doctor.
