The Doctor's POV

Yaz was discharged from hospital early the next day. The Doctor's regeneration energy had helped her make a swift recovery, even if she would've liked that the Time Lord not share it.

Naija, Graham and Ryan were there to greet her as her and the Doctor left the hospital. Naija gave her daughter a hug, careful not to anger her wound and Graham and Ryan were quick to fuss over her.

The Doctor watched on, smiling as she watched Yaz bouncing around once more. She might be one regeneration shorter now, but it was worth it to see her girlfriend so happy again.

"So, where are we off to now?" Graham asked the Doctor once Naija had left.

"We still have three more days of our monthly week at Sheffield," the Doctor pointed out. "Yaz is off duty for the rest of the month, so I was thinking we could go do something, all of us?"

"What do you have in mind?" Yaz asked.

"Let's go camping! There's a great spot, just outside of Sheffield! I keep gear in the TARDIS, so come on, let's go!"

Yaz's POV

The fam caught a bus out to the camping site, camping gear in hand. The Doctor had wanted to take the TARDIS, but they had a ban on using the TARDIS for travelling during their week at home.

The bus ride was about an hour long but for the fam, it felt like it passed by in a flash. They discussed the camping trip, some of their previous adventures, as well as Ryan and Graham teasing Yaz and the Doctor to no end.

Yaz was just about ready to throw a saucepan from the camping kit at Ryan when the bus arrived. The fam shared the load and pitched the tent together at the top of a steep hill, Graham taking care of the campfire.

"What are we actually going to do?" asked Yaz as she set up the camping chairs around the campfire, taking the last one that she put down.

"Smores!" the Doctor exclaimed, holding up three massive bags of marshmallows, about ten blocks of chocolate and four packets of biscuits.

"Very well then, Doc," Graham smiled, sitting down on his chair. Ryan took his chair as well, but the Doctor didn't. She instead stood in front of Yaz, frowning.

"That's my chair, Yaz."

Yaz checked and indeed it was the Doctor's chair. But Yaz didn't feel like giving it up.

"And?" she asked. "Take mine, then."

"Right, then," the Doctor said, placing the packets of food by the fire and sitting down on Yaz, swinging her legs over one side and letting her neck hang off the other. She crossed her arms with an air of cockiness.

"Doctor!" complained Yaz.

"I warned you, Yaz!" she said cheerfully. Yaz rolled her eyes and watched as Graham and Ryan began to make smores, Ryan shooting teasing glances over at them every few seconds.

Yaz wanted to get some food but was also aware of the fact that the Doctor wasn't going to move anytime soon.

"Graham, can you make me a smore?" Yaz asked. "I would but..."

Yaz gestured down at the stubborn Time Lord who wasn't paying much attention but was instead staring up at Yaz with a dreamy expression.

"Sure, Yaz," he said, finishing his and getting to work on making one for Yaz and then one for the Doctor.

"Doctor, are you going to sit here all day?" asked Yaz.

"Yep!" she smiled before reaching up and quickly kissing Yaz. Yaz sighed and rolled her eyes.

"My leg is going to die. I hope you're ready to escort me everywhere – I'm not gonna be able to walk."

"I would be happy to escort you to your bed," the Doctor said with a wink that made Yaz's face heat up. Yaz could hear Ryan laughing and Graham was suddenly intently focused on making smores.

The awkward moment was thankfully interrupted by Graham passing both Yaz and the Doctor a smore and Yaz quickly ate it, annoyed as the sticky chocolate coated her fingers.

"You're so adorable, Yaz," the Doctor said, beaming up at her.

"Shut up and eat your food."
