6. snow

presently, taehyung and jeongguk sat in a small café, they had ordered some drinks, the small silver haired omega hot chocolate, the alpha coffee.

as much as taehyung wanted to talk to jeongguk and spend time with him, today he was diving more into his thoughts, therefore not in the position to keep up a conversation.

he was absently looking out of the window, small snowflakes making their slow way to the ground. he was aware that jeongguk's eyes were on him, nonetheless, he blended everything out.

why did taehyung's dreams so suddenly become true?

"pup?" he heard jeongguk's voice and hummed.

"your brain has too many tabs open, you should drink your hot chocolate before it becomes cold chocolate." he chuckled.

it's still the same voice as in the park. taehyung turned to him, apologetically smiling, before taking a sip of his drink. "i'm sorry, i should close some taps." he giggled, which made the older male smile.

"i don't mind actually, you're pretty when you're in thoughts." the alpha said as if it was the most normal thing to do and also took a sip of his coffee.

this made taehyung blush a little and he squeaked out a small 'thank you.'

"it's snowing." the omega hummed at jeongguk's remark, turning to look out of the huge glass window. "it's beautiful." he whispered.

"i want to hold you one more time, before you disappear
ah, crystal flies high, wherever it goes

taehyung smiles widely. "that's my favorite song." he said, pushing the surprise to the side— because what the hell jeongguk can sing so good.

he was more focused on the song, the song that he once listened to with his alpha, therefore it became his favorite song. he was surprised that jeongguk knew that song— crystal snow by bts— and that he specifically sung this song just right now.

"it's my favorite too, it has a special meaning to me." jeongguk said, looking outside, his eyes shining by the view of the snow.

taehyung tilted his head to the side, clasping his hands together and placing his chin on them, while stemming his elbows on the table. "what special meaning?" he whispered.

again, jeongguk turned to look at him, his eyes catching taehyung's and stopping right there. taehyung saw something in jeongguk's eyes that he has never seen before, no one ever looked at him the way jeongguk does.

it was causing something inside of taehyung too, he was feeling warmth by the look. and kind of flustered too.

"that's going to stay a secret for now." something about jeongguk was so mysterious to taehyung— he knows nothing about the alpha, yet it feels like he does. he couldn't answer any question about what jeongguk likes or dislikes, but it still felt like he knows the other like forever.

"i like secrets." taehyung answered, leaning back and jeongguk chuckled.

"you'll like finding them out more." he answered, which made the omega raise an eyebrow. "what makes you so sure about that?"

the ravenette smiled. "people like finding out secrets."

taehyung hummed. jeongguk has his ways with words, taehyung didn't expect him to say something like that.

"the snow reminds me on you, pup." the alpha suddenly said.

"why so?"
