30. no regret

"so... minjae lied to you— i don't wanna be the one who says 'i told you so', but that's exactly what i'm gonna do. i told you so," jimin giggled, while hugging taehyung.

it felt great, talking to jimin again after two weeks of having different opinions and bickering over every small thing.

"i should've listened to you," the younger mumbled, tightening his hold on his best friend.

"no, it's okay... i was acting like a dick. i didn't try to understand you—

"no, you were right. it's okay..."

jimin sighed. "why was jeongguk here in the morning?" he asked, smirking at the younger omega, as they crawled more on the bed to lean against the headboard.

taehyung smiled lightly, cheeks tinted in a bright red. "he stayed here overnight."

jimin's eyes widened. "say what?!"

taehyung giggled. "we... kissed."

jimin sat up. "you kissed!?"

"y-yes."

"and you..."

"i..." taehyung paused. "i think i'm falling for him.."

jimin stared at him, trying to hide the little fanboy inside of him freaking out. "and your alpha?"

one side of taehyung looked down. "he... doesn't want to show up, so i'll just wait."

jimin looked at taehyung's frown with a sad expression. "would you leave jeongguk, when your alpha finally showed up?"

taehyung felt a tug in his heart by that question. "i'd like to get to know him and see how things evolve, but i can't... leave jeongguk." alone thinking about it was making the omega nervous.

relief washed over jimin hearing these words. now he was questioning if he woop jeongguk's ass so he finally tells his omega the truth.

jimin stared at his best friend for a few more seconds, until a gasp left his lips, noticing a red spot peeking out of the collar of taehyung's hoodie on his neck. "OMFG HE MARKED YOU—

"no, that's hickeys," taehyung mumbled, shyly hiding his neck, knowing if jimin sees jeongguk initials on his skin, he'll freak out.

"let me see."

taehyung gasped, rolling down the bed. "it's okay, seriously, why do you wanna see?"

jimin looked at him confused. "are you hiding something?"

the older omega was standing on one edge of the bed, taehyung opposite of him on the other. "i'm not hiding anything."

"since when do we lie?" jimin squinted his eyes.

taehyung did the same, "we don't."

"kim taehyung..." it sounded like a small growl and taehyung smirked.

"park jimin..." taehyung growled back.

and then, in an eye-blink, there were two small wolves jumping towards each other, falling into a small puppy fight on the bed.

"if it were only hickeys, why are you hiding them?" jimin mind linked his best friend, his light brown wolf looking down at the white wolf underneath him.

taehyung growled lightly and rolled over his beat friend. "they're just hickeys, nothing special!"

"they do seem like something special for you, though."

taehyung moved down from jimin, lying on his back next to him. "it's been a while," he whispered, the last time him and jimin shifted to their wolves forms was a year or so ago.
