7. best friends

taehyung couldn't describe how much fun he was having while getting chased by jeongguk, who at the same time needed to dodge taehyung's snow balls.

the omega was laughing loudly, giggles of him and jeongguk filling the cold evening air. they were in the park, luckily there weren't any other people, making it able for the two wolves to let the little kids inside of them out.

the omega kept running, his footsteps leaving small foot prints in the deep snow, his silver locks decorated with small snowflakes, adding to his beauty. it's the joy he had missed, the joy of just feeling free, doing something without caring about anything else.

he heard the laughter of the alpha behind him, already knowing he won't make it really far until jeongguk is going to catch him. nonetheless the omega gave his best in running away, but when he wanted to reach down and grab some snow to form a snowball that he can throw in jeongguk's direction, he tripped over his own feet, falling face first into the soft pillow of snow.

jeongguk stopped in his tracks in shock and then quickly ran over to the omega to help him up. worry took over him and when he had helped the omega up, he laughed.

taehyung was already laughing at his clumsiness and listening to jeongguk's laughter just makes him laugh even more. "i-i am so dumb." he giggled.

jeongguk chuckled and wiped taehyung's face with his hands, before he ruffled the smaller's hair to entangle the snow from it.

taehyung was stiff while jeongguk did that, his heart unknowingly speeding up by the sweet gesture. "are you cold? you must be cold." the alpha asked, his voice coated in genuine concern.

taehyung softly shook his head, before he threw a ball against jeongguk's tummy. "got you." he smiled mischievously.

jeongguk looked with sharp eyes to him and taehyung knew this was his cue to run. once again loud laughter filled the park as the omega ran away from the alpha.

"hi, i'm olaf and i love warm hugs!" jeongguk spoke in a silly voice, that had taehyung squealing and clapping his hands excitedly. the two wolves have build a big snowman, reaching up to taehyung's waist. "hello, olaf, i am taehyung, nice to meet you!"

taehyung shook the snowman's hand consisting of a wooden stick, with a wide smile.

suddenly taehyung's phone rung and he attempted to pick it up with his freezing hands, finding it hard to accept the call as his fingers didn't want to do what he wanted. he was glad he at least didn't let the phone fall.
"hey, jin hyung."

jeongguk used this small time given to him to take in taehyung's beauty, his silver curls shining, his red puffy cheeks adding to his cuteness, his red cheeks due to the cold and his glistening eyes that were filled with joy.

though a frown formed on his face when he saw this eyes turning to worried ones. "wh-what happened?" taehyung spoke.

"he's crying? that asshole dared to make him cry?"

jeongguk was surprised to hear taehyung say something like that and he was even more shook when the omega's eyes turned a shining light blue. "kay, i'm coming over, tell him that he isn't alone."

taehyung hung up, looking back to jeongguk who was standing next to the snowman.
"did something happen?"

taehyung sighed, his eyes turning back to the caramel brown ones. "my best friend needs me— i need to go home."

"i'll drive you." jeongguk said and taehyung nodded. "thank you."

"i really loved today, ggukie, i never had so much fun." taehyung spoke with a small smile and jeongguk smiled too. "i'm glad you enjoyed today."
