Nebs, accompanying his new best friend, wandered off in towards the tall oaks and alchemy benches in the building. Luke and Quinn left alone walked around until they found a bench. Both sitting down and without his holo watch to mess with stats or do research Luke was bored out of his mind. Both he and Quinn grew so bored they fell asleep. Quinn snuggled into Luke who fell asleep, sat up with his back bent back snoring.

Explosion after explosion shook the very building and created dense smoke that cleared not long after. These were not enough to wake Luke and Quinn but were enough to panic most scholars as manic laughter from the pair of Nebs and Lina ensued. They were blowing up alchemy bench after alchemy bench with researching new potions and countless failed experiments.

After much fun and bits of singed fur, Nebs completed all nine alchemy quests and learnt the four basic potions and one special potion of his choosing that Lina allowed. Sat on the floor staring at his master as he slept Nebs launched the holo watch at his head. It dinked and woke Luke from his slumber. He felt a tense throbbing in the centre of his forehead and figured he had a headache from oversleeping.

"Quests are finished," Nebs looked glum. "A pity Lina isn't a Grenchitty. I would have fallen in love. We should head back to the inn and meet with the others. We also need to acquire more potatoes. I've already eaten the last twelve." Nebs leapt onto Luke's knee and then onto his shoulder.

Stretching and yawning, Luke next put his holo watch back on. He had to do something about Neb's appetite as potatoes were not cheap and Neb's wouldn't settle for anything D class or lower.

"So what potions did you learn?" Luke yawned again as he tapped Quinn awoke and stood up.

"I learn four potions with nine-hundred and twenty potions left to learn. Besides animal parts we need herbs, plants, mushrooms, and other stuff a botanist can get. Potions come in five grades—basic through to legendary. There are a few rarer potions that are graded at a mythic variety.

"As for the potions, I learned. I have the potion of basic health that heals one hundred and fifty health every second for three seconds and has a cooldown of two minutes peruse. Basic mana that does the same as the health, only with mana. Then there is a stamina potion to regain a full bar of energy or stamina—same cooldown as the others. My fourth potion is persuasive. It makes it easy to manipulate an enemy or barter with merchants for a discount. Maybe even used to unlock added dialogue with citizens of Avilien that are not awoken."

"Wow!" Luke wide awake, remained shocked, and surprised. Not only did the potions sound like they had nothing to do with spuds, but they also sounded helpful.

"What is the cost of these potions, Nebs?" Luke continued to walk with Quinn as Nebs pulled a tiny book out of his fur and flicked through pages.

"Four meat of any type, so long as it is from a lesser creature. Easier to farm rats. I also need a herb called Dremenol. One Dremenol and four meat will make two health or mana potions once I mix the right ratio. Also, if the meat is of rare or superior quality, along with the herb, we can gain even more potions or reduce the brewing time. It takes three hours to make two potions at my summonable alchemy bench.

"Lina supplied me with materials during the quests so I have a few potions of each and we have an absurd amount of rat meat. No Dremenol though. Once a week I can also do alchemic research that unlocks five random potions. That requires twenty meat and ten Dremenol, for now. It is randomised weekly as to what ingredients are needed." Nebs put the tiny little black tome back into his fur where it seemed to vanish altogether.

"I believe I have some Dremenol, Sir Nebs," said Quinn as he looked up at a baffled Luke. Nebs fur standing on end he glared at the orange ball of fur and motioned for him to keep his mouth shut.
